As great as Murray and Mitchell are in this series, I don't believe it's sustainable. Gobert and Jokic are still their best players.

I think the question of asking if they are better than their bigs seems quite short sighted - especially Murray. Then why stop there?

Why not ask if Murray is better than Tatum, Luka, Harden, LBJ, Davis, Lillard or who ever else? Because they're not their teammates?

A random observation but I just noticed a lot of the best point guards name start with a 'k' sound: Curry, Kyrie, Conley, Kemba, Chris Paul, Kyle Lowry

I mean, I can't fault anyone if they say that Murray has been the Nuggets' best player so far in the playoffs.

But yes, a sample size of 6 games doesn't negate the fact that Jokic has clearly been their best player throughout the season, and even if you just focus on this series, Jokic still has a great argument for being their best player (26/7/6 on 63% TS), and at best, the difference is minimal.

Murray is averaging 34/7/6 on .73ts and has closed out all of denver's wins

How on earth does Jokic have an argument over him for the series?

Jokic is still the engine behind their offense. He’s also matched up with a 3x DPOY, and Murray isn’t.

It’s kind of like how Curry has an argument (a really strong one actually) over Durant in the 2017 Finals even though Durant may have had a better stat line.

Also, even though this hasn’t been a defensive series, Jokic gives a lot more value on that end than Murray.

Jokic might normally give more defensive value but in this series, he's been so bad that even Murray has been less detrimental.

Also, check out the impact stats (yes, small sample size).

Jokic ON, Murray OFF = -48.2 net rating (76 Ortg)
Murray ON, Jokic OFF +33.9 net rating (130 Ortg)

Middleton playing really well tonight. It's good the league is once again in a place where a team's stars have to actually play well to win.

The Sixers would've won the championship this year if they kept Butler and didn't sign Horford. They built their team to beat the Bucks, and just watched the guy they let go dominate them in the clutch. And their franchise player is subtweeting them while watching Butler.

The Sixers have completely butchered whatever assets Hinkie stockpiled for them with turrible move after turrible move. Silver takes a huge L on this, hopefully the Colangelos never work in the NBA again.

I am all for freeing Embiid and Simmons, send them to competent franchises. What's the point of having stars in the league rot on incompetent franchises.

Still to this day can't fathom what the Sixers were thinking in not offering Butler a max.

Such a stupid decision.

They should have traded Simmons too IMO and built around Embiid-Butler.

I wanna see the Clippers trade PG for Embiid if they lose this year. I wanna see how dominant that Kawhi Embiid combo would be.

This is where the loss of Brogdon becomes a big deal for the Bucks. Not gonna be noticeable during the regular season, but they are really short on players that can create reliable half court offense.

I dont know the shooting would still be an issue specially with how Jimmy has shot this season

Is Redick still on the team?
