I was excited about Narvaez as well as Urias, who I expected may have some hiccups. Fine with Smoak/Gyorko. Cautiously optimistic that Sogard would succed with the ultra-juiced ball like last year, where he and the Tommy La Stella turn into "hits the ball hard to all fields but can't get it out of the park" begins to turn into doubles to the gap and some homers.

Obviously, most of that is not panning out. There was definitely downside in trying out slightly cheaper options across all of those spots.

The good thing is that given how Yelich is playing in the short season, Cain out, Narvaez probably just having a rough stretch where I think he's going to turn into a good hitter...I'm not sure Yasmani/Mous would have made that much of difference. So now at least next year we go in with a bit more of a clean slate.

I'd be fine trading Hader but you need an absolute haul back or you might as well use him for another year or even two and then still deal him.

I really hope they are able to flip some/all of the short term vets like Phelps, Anderson, even Gyerko. Even if you only get some A ball lotto tickets back.

Buddy of mine says Hader is as good as gone. I wouldn't even call him a casual fan, probably heard it from a coworker or patient.
