Look Simmons needs to find a jumper but the biggest thing that hurt Philly is paying Harris and Horford. Horford can't guard small-ball four's and doesn't give you a high volume three-point threat. Simmons while we know he can't shoot can still get to the rim. Al isn't doing that and nobody should expect him to.
If they didn't want to pay Jimmy that's fine. You don't give the third-best player on the team in Harris a max deal worth over 30 million per season. If either Harris or Horford had contracts in the low 20's they'd be much easier to move. So for me, if Embiid or Simmons is traded it not because of fit together it's because you don't have any assets to attach in a trade to clear Horford or Harris.
Losing to get high draft picks and hoping they turn into franchise players is not some next level, genius move. That's what teams want to happen in any rebuild/tank or whatever you want to market it as.

I feel like Middleton always shows up against Jimmy. He was playing beyond his means against us in 14-15 too.

What a half!!!

I think Heat are better than MIL next season. Giannis prob won’t get better and they don’t have any other players that look like they will improve much.

Heat have Bam, Herro, and Robinson that can all get better with potential.

Will be interesting to see.

I don't even think it was a confidence issue. Curry takes and makes shots that most coaches used to yank players for and tell them to never take in games.
He mastered the art of shooting so well that you have to ask "Why isn't he taking that shot" whereas before it was "That's just a heat check"

Analytics helps a ton too. It validated the volume of 3s

True, but analytics with Curry as an example doesn’t work quite as well

Reminder of the day: Jimmy is basically within the realm of a superstar. Someone once called me loco for proposing that Jimmy on the Spurs could win a chip. Amazing how different a #1 option looks with defensive players and 3P spacers.

I think the Durant Warriors kind of made of people loose ration of how good an individual must be to compete for a championship.

Does anyone else here ever miss Jimmy Butler being a Bull?

I know, I know, this is probably something no one here has ever even considered. But bear with me. He's just the best.

Wish there was a way to have both him and Lavine on this team

I love Jimmy. I hate that he isn't on the Bulls and management ruined having a superstar.

Butler never should have been traded.

The Heat as a team embody Jimmy's attitude. So jealous.

LaVine did have an ACL tear and RFA status....

Really makes you wonder how idiotic it was of the Bulls to trade so high for him and a bust in Dunn.

Yes yes Lauri.... had to go for the 3P PF 3-peat after Niko and Bobby.

I think he's better than prime Rose.

Granted we don't know what Rose could have become without injury.

But I think Butler was our best player since Jordan. And they refused to build around him.

Bulls could have put a much better roster around Jimmy than whst Miami has done without many assets.

And, so many of us were screaming about it..

Would have been amazing if their prime years coincided.

I still think Rose was better.

Holy **** I can't believe how we were all hyping Jimmy being such a boss with 3 minutes left, and he just kept hammering the Bucks over and over.

Someone get that man the best shoulder massage expert in the bubble.

Butler just dominated the Bucks.

Screw GarPax.

What a terrible trade. Butler wanted to be here too.

We could've drafted Zach instead of Doug and had both.

Return to Chicago Bulls
