You haven't been following Jacoby in the minors this year? He's been a stud for a while now.

I really don't understand the swap of Lugo and Jacoby in the order. Lugo has had much more success as the 9th hitter and Ellsbury has showed he can bat leadoff.

Jacoby Ellsbury better not come out of the lineup when Manny comes back. And he better be leading off.

Jesus.

man jacoby is making it real hard for them to leave him of the playoff roster.

and if clay continues to pitch well-damn, he's going to make theo think really hard about pushing that innings limit this yr.

wow.

and yes i agree. it doesn't make any sense that jacoby is not leading off

Wow. Ellsbury just misses his 2nd homer of the game, ends up with a triple...now just needing a double for the cycle.

This kid sure is exciting to watch.

Lots of players are studs in the minors.

Just as many as are studs in the majors, really. At least proportionally speaking.

Considering there is more than one minor league, that is a false statement.

Just on speed alone Jacoby has to be on the playoff roster. Sucks for Hinske or the 5th pitcher but that is life.

Hopefully we take Hinske and Ellsbury. Screw Kielty IMO.

Kielty has to make the team, he's the only one of them that can hit a lefty.

Ellsbury can hit lefties. Moss can hit lefties.

Nope. On a rate basis, there are as many stud players in the minors as there are in the majors.

Also, Alex Cora is inexplicably playing over Dustin Pedroia tonight. **** Terry Francona's this-is-a-marathon-not-a-sprint bull. Dustin Pedroia has a 1045 OPS in his last 8 games. Alex Cora is one of the worst offensive players in baseball. How much time does Pedroia need off? He's only on pace to play 140 games for ****'s sake.

In no universe does this make sense.

And to further trump himself, he bats Julio Lugo leadoff. So **** stupid, Terry. Why not just give the game away?
