Would also say that his all around skillset and fluidity with the ball is a cut above what Porzingis showed. Porzingis at 18 looked like he had shooting potential but nothing like the all-around floor game this kid gives glimpses of. Very different prospects. For me, Porzingis was primarily about physical tools (length/run/jump) with skill level putting him over the top, whereas Pokusevski is more about instinct and fluidity at his size. If that makes sense. As a prospect he has more in common with Jokic than Porzingis.
Yep can see that too, definitely reads the floor in a Jokic way but seems more of a scoring mentality. Probably closer to Jokic athletically too but the handles + coordination is intriguing. He’s pretty slow when anchored in the post but when he can see it from a help defender position he’s a good shot blocker. Solid rebounding numbers too.
