If you put Ben with that heat squad, they won’t be as good offensively. Because defense can cheat off Ben, Butler and Bam.

Butler is also way better scorer and shooter than Ben. So Butler and Bam works better than Biid and Ben while being surrounded with shooter. In crunch time, Heat can rely on Butler to create which is not the case with Ben.
You also have to factor in Dragic who is also way better shooter and halfcourt playmaker/scorer than Ben.
With Biid and Ben, you pretty much is working uphill on halfcourt offense. Specially on crunch time. This is why if you notice we always get “unlucky” in crunch times during our playoff elimination games.

The problem for me is post offense is not generally bad. But it’s bad if you make it as your “ go to” offense.

As a Sixers fan, the only way for me to keep Jimmy is to trade Ben.

I'd really be surprised if Joel doesn't request a trade by next season. Brand has ONE chance to save this planet.

First want to start by saying not the biggest fan of trading embiid or Simmons yet, but was listening to Bill Simmons last week and he mentioned embiid to the pacers for oladipo and Sabonis. My initial reaction was I didn’t hate it. Thoughts?

Terrible. Sabonis is not anything to write home about and i wouldnt want Oladipo even if he was gifted to us (he has no value anyway).

Sabonis is coming off an injury and Oladipo lowkey lost them that series and may be a one year wonder

plus any deal Bill Simmons puts up, is to make sure we don't compete with his beloved Celtics

Bill Simmons trades were interesting 10 years ago. Now he’s just a parody of himself.

Per Joel's latest post, his inevitable trade request could very well come even sooner.

Simmons to twolves for Anthony Edwards 1st pick in draft.
Harris for Chris Paul.
Horford and JRich and picks for Hield and Barnes

Philly goes scoring with Edwards who should give Embiid a true perimeter go to guy who’s nba ready.

Paul brings his leadership at Pg and runs this team to a 3 year championship goal.
Hield and Barnes bring elite shooting help.

Embiid/ Pelle
Barnes/ Scott
Edwards/ korkmaz / zhaire
Hield/ Thybulle
Paul / Shake

Don't want no piece of Giannis on my roster. Can barely dribble with his left hand

The league sent a memo to playoff teams in the bubble. You can’t be primary option on offense in the playoffs, unless you can’t play pick and roll and shoot 3s.

Nets <= super team
Ben Simmons
Al Horford

Spurs <= rebuild
Josh Richardson
Taurean Prince
Zhaire Smith
Sixers 21st pick

Sixers
Dinwiddie
LaVert
DeRozan
DeAndre Jordan

Sixers:
Dinwiddie 20ppg
Lavert 18.6ppg
Derozan 22ppg
Tobias Harris 19.6ppg
Embiid 23ppg

We got 3 of the league top players in drives per 100 possession.

We potentially has the most firepower on offense among the starting 5s in the league.

You have enough offense for Biid to take a step back on offense so he can focus on defense. And he has several guys who can get him easy baskets.

Derozan can play that Jimmy Butler role with Embiid.

Love the idea of acquiring Levert. The rest of that trade is very blah though. We give up the best player for lots of quantity and we sacrifice draft captial.

If you're keen on trading Simmons you should wait for a disgruntled star to Derozan for Kawhi. You can pick up Dinwiddie's and such any time of the year.

Ok.

My mindset in these trades is to get back a little less than fair value in talent. This is considering my bias as a fan and trying to be as realistic as possible.

Nevertheless, thanks for your suggestion and this noted :D

Front office does none of these moves, hires Tyronn Lue. Embiid: I'm like...really unhappy

What about Otto Porter Jr.? He seems like he would be a great fit on the 76ers.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
