We're NOT talking about Giannis guarding Butler ALL GAME. Bucks were bleeding points in the 4th because no one -- not their team scheme, not Middleton, not Matthews -- was able to stop Butler. How about at least switching it up with Giannis on Butler, who you don't even have to guard all the way beyond the arc. Marvin Williams or whichever forward can cover Bam. Giannis can drop back a bit to prevent the drives and he's long/athletic enough to recover even if Jimmy blows by him. At least try and make him give up the ball and make other guys beat you. 15 points in 6 minutes. Not a single possession defended by Giannis. He certainly didn't bother Butler at the rim or in the paint when Jimmy got there. Giannis had 3 fouls in the 4th. Middleton eventually fouled out. Lebron does this all the time btw. He has his usual assignment for most of the game and when he has to, he defends the star PG/wing/guard/whoever late in games. Gobert is just a silly comparison.

I think the Bucks clearly and deliberately do not pull out stops for game 1. Too much is being made of that game. IMO

KL switched off of Luka a lot and of course switched off him to let Reggie guard him when he hit that dagger 3 to win game 4. Luka had been giving them the business more than Butler in that game, IIRC the Mavs were coming back from 22 down that quarter. Middleton vs Butler is better than Reggie vs Luka from a defensive standpoint.

Doc and co. got criticized for that tactical mistake too. Kawhi can fight off screens. He didn't need to switch and leave Reggie on Luka esp on that one final play.

but that's beside the point, people are downing Giannis and touting that KL wouldn't do it when he did it many times in that series and at a critical moments. Kobe has done it too. The point is, that doesn't make Giannis any worst for not doing it. Giannis deserves blame in that game but not for not living up to some mythical figure people have made of other players.

Maybe. Keep playing with fire and it will eventually burn them (I hope).

You have to be smarter than that, you can't engage with people like Kushner, there is literally nothing to be gained.

Meanwhile, Phase 1 of "Get Spida to Boston" is in action. Utah is currently getting their doors blown off by Denver.

Really tough loss for the Jazz. Came back from being down 19? only to lose on a late-game turnover. Conley's last second three attempt almost went in too.

Nuggets come back from being down 1-3!

Crazy, just crazy.

Denver should not have run the lay-up play at the end but it set it up for an even crazier finish.

I'm happy Denver won. EVERY Celtics fan should be happy Denver won. The sooner Mitchell sours on Utah, the sooner Danny can get to work. That said, to lose like that in the final seconds. I'm hurtin for Mitchell. That sucks.

Incredible to win a game seven with 80 points in this three point era.

Extremely refreshing to see.
156-1 Celtics are frauds when pressure is put on them. They would have been toast if Luka was not stupid enough to foul himself out. Enjoy this ONE finals win. There will never be another with the Js and the Celtics cant afford stacked team.
Why they track this?? Is Conley supposed to frame this tweet and hang it in his bathroom?
