Worst post i've seen for a while. Blazers need to fill the roster out. A couple of better big men will start it off.

Lillard is a really good leader bringing and keeping people together. And he is focused year round in what he needs to do. Great role model for teammates. He’s even playing better D.

Blazers20 is also correct that Lillard doesn’t light a fire when guys aren’t playing D or getting defensive rebounds or ...
BUT maybe that should be someone else’s job. The D pretty much sucked. The injuries and playing employees #12, 13, 14 and not playing 3 actual starters ... and scrap and hustle and grit on friggin’ D. And movement of ball and man on O. Even when Dame’s got screens going to free him up, the other guys should be moving, not standing around.

So while it’s easy to compliment Lillard for the leader he is, he’s also not THAT guy who you know will step up and call b.s. when it’s needed AND fire you up in a heartbeat in the game or in practice. BOTH leadership styles are needed. One problem for the Blazers is they don’t have that hard@@@ guy at this time. Collins has that fire. Not there, yet. Trent, eventually? Even ONE serious scrapper like Patrick Beverly gets guys going.

... just so you know, I agree Olshey bears responsibility for not having enough guys with motor and scrap on D and Stotts isn’t getting it done on D with what he has. Serious O. More movement needed and Stotts likes that. But he doesn’t apparently have a coach on D that won’t accept lesser effort.

Dame is one of, if not the best leader in the NBA.

Butler has been described as a team cancer before. Let's not overreact to one playoff run.

P.s. I know part of Butler's controversy has arisen due to his competitiveness (Minnesota), but the point still stands.
