I honestly love the fit. Him and OG both played on IU back in the day. He is a dynamic two-way player who is a depressed asset just like Kawhi was.
I always think it takes a full year to fully recover from an injury so he should return back to form in December. I'd give up Lowry plus prospects to get him. Lowry is an institution for Toronto, but if they are likely investing in FVV then getting a true slasher like Dipo makes sense.
Indy would likely be interested in a strong veteran leader like Lowry, especially since Dipo is in his final year. If Toronto offers young players like Terence Davis it might be a homerun deal for Indy.
Sign-and-trade Fred (+ 2021 Raps 1st?) for Oladipo.
I wouldn’t keep Oladipo though I would flip him to another team like Brooklyn or the Knicks. He’s not staying here, the dude loves Miami and is close with D-wade.
The Knicks are trying to accelerate their rebuild. I think they’ll try to pitch to AD on Oladipo and CP3. We could maybe swing RJ Barrett.
Brooklyn is looking for a big 3 so they might be willing to send Levert + Allen for that 3rd star.
This all banks on the Pacers liking Fred a lot more than injury prone Levert or RJ Barrett‘s potential.
