Gallo is about the best FT shooter in the NBA.

That said, I didn't expect Butlers impact to be this big. The Heat got a chance to beat the Bucks who were thought as championship-caliber in the last couple of seasons. The moves Miami has made plus getting Butler has transformed them into a step under containership. Big turn around.
Both the Sixers and Timberwolves have fallen off considerably after losing Butler too.
Well. It was not only Butler, but he was a missing piece. Heat as an organisation made a bunch of solid moves, to build the current roster.
* - added two elite shooters in Robinson and Herro at 6mil per year. Which is crazy to think about. However, it is critical to surround Butler with elite shooters, because he is a bad 3pt shooter, but an excellent complementary scorer. Something that Thibs never understood
* - found a combo-guard Nunn for 1.5mil per year. Another bargain
* - traded for two experienced veterans, two 3&D players in Iggy, Crowder
* - developed Bam, who IMO should have won MIP award this year
* - they have two stretch fives in Olunik and Leonard
* - they kept financial flexibility and have cap space this offseason
Riley failed with JJ, Waiters, Winslow and Tyler Johnson contracts. But after that, he did an excellent job maximizing his team chances by making maybe small steps diligently, waiting for his chance to play big in NBA trade market.

If not for Butler none of those players look as good as they do.

Hey KGDaBom, I guess Saunders isn't the least qualified head coach anymore, eh?

Can’t believe some wolves fans want Gordon and others on that rubechat board want Randle and are willing to give up the Nets pick for him

Lack of credentials? Nepotism? Both?

If you don't think Nash's credentials as the greatest offensive mastermind in NBA history equals credentials I simply don't know what to say to you. Massive credentials.

Yeah, that is why Michael Jordan is a good GM. Massive credentials.
Calinks wrote:I'm not sold on Nash. It can work out but I don't see him being a good player meaning he can immediately be an NBA head coach. It's one thing to be on the floor doing it and another thing to be coaching it to players. If all it took was being a great floor general then a lot more PG's would be excelling at coaching NBA and college teams. We will see but I wouldn't be shocked if he was fired in a season or two.
Brooklyn also has big expectations, sometimes that can be a benefit for a new coach if the team is good enough to carry him but if they underperform the spotlight will be right on Nash's dome even if it's not his fault.

He's in the playoffs again, with a mix of young players and Vets that this fanbase wouldn't give any respect to either if they were here. Butler, Crowder, Iguadala, Dragic, Olynyk, young players like Bam/Robinson/Herro/Nunn. That team is deep if you believe in them.
