Then, we have this Giannis guy we want in case he wants to leave the Bucks. All he has to say is I won't re-sign because the Bucks can't win sometime after the playoffs are over. If the Ws have someone who can play defense, block shots, shoot the 3-ball, and rebound like a young Draymond Green as a stretch 4, then Giannis would have to be interested. The paint won't be that crowded for him to do his thang. Dray can slide over to the 5 until Giannis comes in. His career will be extended. Deni is the guy I envisioned to come in and spark the Warriors and what he has shown in the pros and FIBA show he could be a keeper with the #2 pick!!! Now, I'm getting excited

.
Don't get too excited. We need a S&T to get Giannis and this pick would more than likely be used entice the Bucks.
Ws can't do S&T per NBA rules. For Giannis, they would have to put up Wiggins (matches salary perfectly) + 3 FRPs (which seem to be the going rate for landing a superstar). Ws could give Minny's 2021 + their own 2021 + whatever it takes -- It could be their 2020 #2 pick, but do Ws do that ???!!!???!!! Ws 2023 FRP
Except the Warriors can’t trade 3 first-round picks without including the 2020 pick.
As part of the Iguodala trade, we traded the rights to our 2024 #1 pick (though it’s top-4 protected and may not convey until 2025 or 2026).
The Stepien rule prohibits a team from trading its first-round picks in such a way that it doesn’t have a #1 pick in 2 consecutive drafts in the future. Since we might lose the 2024 pick to Memphis, it means we’re not allowed to trade our #1 pick in 2023 (unless we acquire another #1 pick in 2023 or 2024).
While we have 2 picks in 2021 (presumably getting Minnesota’s, as well as having our own), and having 1 in 2022, we likewise can’t trade all of them, or we’d again violate the Stepien rule.
So in 2021/22, we can trade 2 of the 3 picks. We can’t trade the 2023 pick, and we obviously can’t trade a pick in 2024-27, because we’ve already given rights to Memphis.
So to get 3 draft picks to Milwaukee, 2020 has to be 1 of them. Goodbye, Deni, in this scenario.
