I’m interested in WCJ for Culver. IMO Gafford can replace WCJ.
Think Lauri probably needs to be the one to go for a wing like Vassell or Nesmith. PF is dead. Need to play two SFs next to a defensive rim running C.

WCJ > Culver. Hayes > Wiseman. It's a big no from me, personally.

Ok, seriously, what about Markkanen for a draft pick, straight up? I'm looking at Phoenix, Boston, and San Antonio as potential suitors.
Target BPA at #4, whether AKME thinks that's Avdija, Hayes, Haliburton, whoever. Then target BPA at whatever draft slot they can get for Markkanen. I have a felling you'll get some combo of a PG and either a wing or PF. Would be very happy with Hayes/Williams as high potential guys that may strike gold.
Could happen, I understand Dunn is highly regarded in Dallas, just not by the Mavericks
I think the first option should be to see what they can get for Young and Satoransky. Who they get back for either should fill some hole in the rotation other than the ones they play. As they aren't going to gt a PF for Young or a PG for Satoransky. So it's kind of up in the air what can be done next. But say they get a PG for Young and a SF for Satoransky. Picks might be better but would someone give up a decent pick for either of them?
After they have what they return and you see how the roster shapes up, the next decision would be trading Markkanen for no lower than #10. Can Porter stay healthy and start at the 4, with help from Kornet, Carter and maybe a FA pick up. What position does #4 play and who do they get at #10?
And this doesn't much matter if A Davis wants to come to CHI.
As for young and sato, were lucky if we can get an expiring bag of Doritos for them. Just getting out of those 3rd years would be a win in itself. Gar/Pax really effed up this franchise

Agree to disagree
Culver> WCJ Wiseman> Hayes
Right now Culver has less value but hes a guard so even if they both suck, he wins out bc he is someone the modern era needs more. I would salvage value for WCJ and Culver would be a great low buy situation as much as Carter tanked his value.
WCJs strength was that he can guard multiple positions and be nimble but the weight gain made him a undersized traditional center that cannot shoot at all. Dont care even if he becomes DPOY bc those types are littered in the streets.

Jay Wil ldoing us a solid and selling us to AD!
If he could bring Bulls AD, I will forgive him for getting drafted at #2 and give the fo a pass at the time.

Why would the Wolves even consider that? That's terrible for them.

Re: NBA Trade Thread
Trade #1:
Oqtto Porter Jr. & #44 for Tobias Harris, Vernon Carey Jr. (#21), & #36
Trade #2:
Wendell Carter Jr. & Deni Avidja (#4) for LaMelo Ball (#2) & 2021 1st (GS - Top 20 protected)
Trade #3:
Thaddeus Young, Tomas Satoransky, #36, & 2021 1st (GS - Top 20 protected) for Delon Wright, Maxi Kleber, & Jaden McDaniels (#18)
PG: Coby White / Delon Wright
SG: Zach LaVine / LaMelo Ball (#2)
SF: Tobias Harris / Chandler Hutchison
PF: Lauri Markkanen / Maxi Kleber / Jaden McDaniels (#18)
C: Daniel Gafford / Vernon Carey Jr. (#21)
Trade Analysis:
Tobias Harris gives the Bulls another 20PPG scorer. He’s stuck on a talented 76ers team but surrounded by 0 outside shooters, clogging the paint and hurting his efficiency. He gives the Bulls another player who can create his own shot and just turned 28 years old.
The Bulls lacked playmakers this year, so they add 2 (Wright & Ball). Wright’s contract expires when it’s time to extend LaVine. Ball is already an elite playmaker. Him and McDaniels give the Bulls 2 prospects with high upsides, but it might take some time to develop them.
Gafford showed enough this season to be serviceable and the Bulls can use one of the 1st rounders (Vernon Carey Jr. or Daniel Orturo) to create competition for the starting role.

Please do. Would like to read.
If WCJ thinks he’s a 4 then I’d trade him at the draft for a two way wing like Culver.

Are you serious? I usually agree with your analysis, but Culver? He couldn't hit the broadside of a barn. They tried starting him at the point and cut his minutes towards the end of the season. He shot 46% from the line. 46%!

I suspect davis will sign a 1 year deal to expire along with lebron. If we have enough space to offer 2 max deals anything is possible if davis feels he coming here with either another max player or space to add help.
Long shot still imo

We could send our pick, Markkanen and Porter for someone like Oladipo
White
LaVine
Oladipo
Davis
Carter

The same Dipo that is still recovering from injury?
No way. Maybe Otto and Lauri but no way 4 too.
OKC has me intrigued with 3 guard lineup. Dipo isn’t the right fit though IMO.

I think there is exactly ZERO % chance Davis leaves California to come to Illinois. Absolutely no scenario.
The Lakers cap is completely wide open in 2021. Lebron has a player option, which means he can re-structure if need be. They'll have room to add a 3rd star.
Miami will have 2 max slots open besides Jimmy.
Dallas will be able to swing a max contract if they dump just 1-2 small salaries (Powell, Delon Wright).
GSW, BRK and LAC are set and over the cap, but they will also have plenty of S&T options.
Between Giannis and Davis, there is NO chance in hell that they come to the United Center to watch Coby and Zach jack 3Ps while they break their backs trying to defend.
I'm not saying to take a Thad and Sato approach, but I think signing a healthy Otto is 80/4 is kind of a best-scenario. I know I keep saying this, but I really wish GarPax were fired 5 years ago. Right now, the landscape is kind of set for the next 3-4 years. With the harder lottery odds, there's no quick fix - it's gonna be really hard to climb out the gutter/tread-mill that the Bulls are in.
I'm just hoping for a fun +500 team to watch like the regular season Nuggets/Raptors. I really don't see the Bulls making it past the 2nd round anytime before 2025, if even... to be honest. I don't see Chicago as a FA destination to begin with, let alone with no legitimate creator/all-star.
So I think the Davis/Giannis pipe-dreams need to be squashed. The only quick star-splash scenario I can see is duping Brand into a colossal Embiid or Simmons farm trade, or maybe snagging Beal. But all other teams have their eyes on them too.

Here's a sell low buy low deal that I wanted to float:
Lauri for Jonathan Isaac straight up. He's great but a Otto-level injury risk.

What are your guys' impression of Tomas Satoransky? If we were to trade for him, Will Kevon Looney + Jordan Poole be enough to facilitate the trade?
