Zambrano brought the booing on himself. He was awarded a big money contract and has gone Rick Ankiel (pitcher style) on the Cubs ever since.

Prince Fielder had a quote similar to this earlier in the season, but if you get paid millions of dollars to at least perform adequately and crap all over yourself, expect some retribution.

Sorry for the intrusion, but Zambrano needs to talk with his arm and not his mouth. Give Cubs fans a reason to cheer and they'll cheer for you, keep pitching like you have been and say hello to a battery in your face.

Zambrano should come play for the Cardinals, we never boo anyone on our team.*

*Except for Kip Wells.

He should have went into the post game interview and said something like "I will pitch better next time" instead of challenging the fans.

And about the Hendry comment I was joking about that.

i agree. i was hoping he would say that. its never a good idea to challenge cubs fans.

fans can boo. its thier right. i wouldnt have booed though. i support big Z and believe he is going to pitch lights out soon. he is in a slump. he will break out.

Carlos has so much to learn, because all fans boo at some point, so it's not like it's just Cub fans. I hope this becomes a growing experience for Carlos.

His full words from yesterday:
"I don't accept that the fans booed me," Zambrano said. "I really can't understand that. I thought these were the greatest fans in baseball, but they showed me today that they only care about themselves. That's not fair, when you are struggling, you want to feel like you have their support. I don't accept their reaction.

"I will remember that. I don't want to stink and (have) bad outings. I know the great moment of my career will come."

I am so glad we are finally getting national attention but for the wrong reasons.
Zambrano/Barrett got us leading off SportsCenter and now this gets us leading off SportsCenter.

I set my alarm this morning to Mike and Mike and I woke up to them talking about this.
They told Zambrano to "Just shut up"
