The endless parade of GB threads calling them the greatest team of all time based on SRS and regular season scoring margins etc. was absolutely nauseating. I don't even have as much negative feelings about them as some, and I still feel the urge to rub their noses in it.

Never seen a fanbase talk so much before winning anything.

By way of contrast, Nick Nurse really did just outcoach Brad Stevens for a game. Raptors' fans claims had SOME merit, even as some of it -- especially the unshown-hand theme -- got nonsensically extreme.
Banned temporarily for, among other sins, being "Extremely Deviant".

Isn't it nice to not have the slightest clue who's going to win any given series from the second round on? This is the most entertaining postseason for me in ages. Screw super teams (unless it's us).

Teams with star bigs falling one by one... Sixers (Embiid), Magic (Vucevic kinda), Jazz (Gobert), Bucks (Giannis).

Lakers (AD) and Nuggets (Jokic) next.

This bubble has taken the normal advantage of the playoffs for the home team away and it's very fun to watch.

Would anyone have predicted a possible Miami finals run against the likes of Houston way back when?

Or the Celtics or Toronto (post kawhi) against Houston? Its compelling.

Yes, sorry I meant he'll demand a trade to the Heat. Bam + fillers might be acceptable to the Bucks.

Heat have no need to do that. They have max cap room next summer.

Yes, but if Giannis demands a trade, Heat might need to do it otherwise they might lose their chance.

Read on Twitter

This is harsh, but there's some grain of truth to it. That ultimately, the players on the floor decide how far you go in the postseason. The coach can only do so much. (Bud is still not a good coach though.) The players are still the ones that need to counter when faced with a different defensive coverage, what play to run on which situation, how much you pay attention to the little details, and how to read-and-react. BBIQ and decision-making become even more critical the deeper you get in the postseason and the tougher the competition gets.

Why I'm a bit worried about the Raps. Their collective IQ and playoff experience matter even if we have better overall talent and shotmaking skill esp. without Hayward. And by worried, I mean, we beat them in 7 and not 5/6.

eh,

Scottie Pippen, who played on six championship teams in Chicago and was on the 2000 Portland team that beat Garnett's Timberwolves 3-1 in the first round of the playoffs, once said of Garnett, "He's very productive but unproductive. He gets you all the stats you want, but at the end of the day his points don't have an impact on [winning] the game. He plays with a lot of energy and a lot of enthusiasm, but in the last five minutes of the game he ain't the same player as in the first five."

I mean I don't necessarily disagree, he doesn't have the overall presence and composure and all around offensive skill of Kawhi, Butler, now Tatum. I'd still call him a great player though.

I think the Clipps are a shoe in for the Finals.

Anyways, has been a great postseason. I wonder how much of it has to do with neutral courts and no travel - NCAA tourney style...

What is going on? How is Miami up 3 games?

This has to help our chances right? If Miami wins we've got to match up with them better than the Bucks right? I know Miami has had our number before and I know we got to beat Toronto first. But things are looking good. Even if a team doesn't win it all, getting to the finals as opposed to conference finals seems like a huge deal for future development and recruitment.

he's definitely an alpha and the best player in the NBA. 30-15-6 with DPOY defense is Wilt type numbers. It's poor roster construction given his current inability to shoot. If he was surrounded by 3 and Ds he could win multiple championships without improving as a shooter. As it stands, if he wants to win in MIL, they need a new G.M. or he needs to really make shooting FTs his number one task this offseason. Unfortunately there really won't be an offseason. But going forward, if he can just work at FTs that'll fix a lot of his problems and should eventually bleed into better 3pt shooting.

He refused to touch the ball or do anything the last 4 minutes of the game.

He sat in the corner and watched.

That's not an alpha.

Regular season stats dont mean **** at the end of the day.
