Yeah LeBron was a joke, very passive from the beginning and with embarrassing airballs eveyr time he tried to mimic Beards' stepback. One Scud was so bad i was afraid the backboard would break.

I also think we are not giving Mike D.Antoni enough credit for what he is doing. The concept is ntohing short of spectacular. Its not primarily Harden who makes the difference, its really Mike.

Also, ultimately, i didnt even feel like this was a particularily good game for houston. Many missed open 3's. If the Lakers think they can just walk all over them they are in for a n ugly update.

Isiah Thomas is 59 years old? Damn I feel old. And Zeke looks great for 59.

while that is true, the Clippers played a defensively challenged Mavs team and the Rockets played an offensively challenged OKC team.

Quick question who's gonna stop Harden?
He got 36 without breaking a sweat tonight.
This is a totally different Harden right now and no Golden State here to stop him

Harden will stop himself. The GB told me he's a playoff choker.

He has averaged 29/7/6 on 58% TS in the playoffs since 2013. He's been one of the best playoff performers of the past decade. Shows how dumb most fans are.

That's fine from the POV of the Lakers, they shouldn't be too bothered by their defense tonight. It wasn't great but it wasn't the issue. They can win this series with defensive performances like this. They need to start by dominating the rebounding battle and LeBron/AD need to be more consistently aggressive.

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Come on man get out of here with that.
Lakers got dominated what else can they do go small?
Their bigs are a negative on the court.
Besides AD and LeBron the rest of the team are a bunch of scrubs compared to the Rockets they are deep

I am not a super advanced stats guy but I watched a video that suggests the lakers are better off staying big against the rockets. It was posted in one of these threads. An adjustment that can be made is to play Rondo less and shortening the bench. McGee had a positive +/- and he typically plays all his minutes with A. Davis on the court. So, a shorter bench and less Rondo would be my main adjustment. I voted Lakers in six before the series and not particularly worried yet.

This is the biggest reason why I think AD is overrated. As skilled as he is, dude just isn't dominant enough and allows teams to get away with single coverage too often.

If you switched him and Giannis, the Bucks would be like a 5th seed in the East.

I think the way he plays the game in general doesn't play to his size advantage. Yeah, having guard skills as a big is great but you still need to dominate on the inside. It's neat when he can step out and shoot tough jumpers but I'll live with that if you're Houston. You are not going to out-shoot them. I see LeBron shoot step back threes and he's playing right into the Rockets' hands.

He's one of the 5 or so best players on the planet earth. It's working pretty pretty well. Small sample but for his playoff career minus tonight as I don't want to math, he's a 30.3 points per game playoff preformer. 11.8 rebounds and 2.3 blocks. He seems to use his size to score pretty dang well! 29.1 PER, .235 WS/48 and 7.9 BPM. And this includes playing the warriors twice so it isn't like they were bad defensive teams.
