How about Bagley and the #12 for the #2 overall?

There are people on this board who will probably say yes, but I will give a hard no unless it’s Edwards sitting at 2. I think some have gone off the deep end with Bagley and I still believe in the kid. This is coming from someone who had him as probably the 6th best draft prospect when he was drafted. Now that the team has him and he’s shown flashes, I think they should ride it out another year or look for a better trade. I just don’t like the prospects at 2 more than Bagley and 12.

For sure. For what it’s worth, I think Bagley would be absolutely terrific in GS. Draymond already patrols the paint and switches all over the place. If Bagley is there, he can be a weak side shot blocker and I’ve seen his flashes of this. He moves his feet pretty well, so the switching would be fine. On offense, I think his status as 4th banana would make him incredibly efficient.

I just don’t like the trade. It would take quite a bit to make me move from it. I think the best thing for the Kings to do is get a GM, let him determine the play style template and then look to move players. Until then, we don’t know if this team is pushing for playoffs or rebuilding yet again.

If I’m GM, I’m doing a small rebuild and looking to take on a little salary for assets. If I’m trading with GS, it’s difficult. I’m probably trying to take on Wiggins in exchange for assets.
Maybe Barnes+Bjelica+12 for Wiggins + 2 + ‘22 GSW 2nd

That gives the Warriors great salary relief for the following years and gives them two really good fitting players. The Kings get to move up and hopefully get another building block without having to lose Bagley. Even then I pause because that Wiggins contract is ugly.

No there’s nobody in this draft I’d trade Bagley for and I’m not even high on Bagley

I agree. Who would we pick at 2? I assume the Wolves are going to take Edwards. So Ball? Wiseman? Avidja? Haliburton? I don't know that any of those players are worth a late lottery and high lottery pick from a loaded draft, no matter how frustrating Bagley's been. I'd rather look to trade for any of Myles Turner, Josh Richardson, Aaron Gordon, or Gordon Hayward (as some have mentioned) and draft BPA at 12.

I'll root for Lonzo because his father put a target on his back (Not his fault) but I don't want Lonzo on my team. Not at the cost of Bogi.

Not interesting at all a terrible trade actually, so we trade Bogi for a chance to pay Lonzo a year later to come off the bench. Na we good

What do you guys think of this trade: Al Horford + Zhaire Smith + 21 pick + 36 pick + 2023 top 5 protected for Hield + Parker

Read previous page. Most of the Kings fans would love that trade, some of them want to add Thybulle.
Problem with this trade is OKC. I doubt they take that trade. But that’s for our forum discussion.

I presented it to OKC fans. They would take it and run. Shed $10 mil and get their own pick back + Smith/#43/NYK 2nd is a no-brainer for them.

I honestly wouldn't be opposed to this at all. I think a Fox/Lonzo backcourt would be very interesting, they could definitely play together and would be tough defensively. Shooting would be a concern but putting another high level playmaker next to Fox would be really good for him.

I really really want to get another playmaker next to Fox. The thing is, I want that playmaker to replace Buddy rather than Bogdan. Fox - Lonzo - Bogdan gives us multiple ball handlers. Replacing Lonzo with Bogdan improves that, but it replaces our 2nd best handler rather than adding one.

I wonder how much the Pelicans value Lonzo and if we have an alternate route to getting him. Something sort of 3 team trade where we move Bjelica/2nd to another team with value going to the Pelicans.

Follow that up with a trade that we've been talking about with Philly - Richardson/Thybulle/Tobias for Barnes/Buddy.

Bagley/Holmes
Tobias/
Richardson/Thybulle
Bogdan/
Fox/Lonzo

Not sure how Lonzo would embrace a bench role, but he has a path to playing 30 minutes off the bench and running the team while Fox is on the bench. This would be a damn interesting team to watch.

Variation of above trade:

OKC out: Paul
OKC in: Joseph, Smith, Parker (exp), Scott (exp), #21, #35, NYK 2021 2nd

PHI out: Harris, Richardson, Scott, Smith, #21, NYK 2021 2nd
PHI in: Paul, Hield

SAC out: Hield, Joseph, Parker, #35
SAC in: Harris, Richardson

Re-sign Bogs and draft Nesmith at #12 to replace Buddy's shooting.

Fox(32)/Richardson(16)
Bogs(30)/Richardson(12)/Nesmith(6)
Barnes(30)/Harris(12)/Nesmith(6)
Harris(20)/Bjelica(28)
Bagley(28)/Holmes(20)
2023-2024 Philadelphia 76ers:

Lowry/Melton/Payne
Maxey/Hield/Council
Oubre/Batum/Martin
Harris/Covington/Wilson
Embiid/Reed/Bamba

If the Kings are keeping Barnes I would insist they also keep 35 and be rewarded with a pick.

So if you gave up Barnes instead, would you be willing to give up #35?

I don't like saying this because I love De'Aaron, but I think McNair should at least consider what he can get centered around a 1st round pick in next year's draft to target Cade Cunningham. Seeing how many young stars are in Denver/Celtics and that they're still struggling to push through makes me think we're going to need to get as much out of the 2021 draft as we can to be successful in the future.

I agree that trading Fox should be considered, but I would think trading him would have to be at the deadline to maximize the draft compensation. Any earlier and you are likely trading for a late lotto pick. It’s really hard. I feel like the realistic outcome of a Fox trade would be for a current player.
