The attempted comparison makes no sense whatsoever. Completely different players.

Sometimes he reminds me of Jimmy Butler at Marquette. He's a good defender but his offense needs to improve. He has that dog mentality that Jimmy has on defense and I believe that with hard work his offense could improve. He's an intriguing prospect who might end up being a very good player.

It may seem like I'm peddling a lot of pro Vassell posts here, but if you're looking for the elite defender that actually has a semblance of an offensive game its Vassell. He's the best defender in this draft and one of the best shooters too. I wouldn't even consider Okoro over him if thats what you're looking for.

Alot of playoff teams could be desperate to make a power move to have better chances of winning in 2020-21. With a limited free agent market, you would think teams will make calls on Otto Porter, Thad Young, Zach Lavine, Wendell and Lauri. On on the Bulls Reddit page, a Dallas fan for example offered the #18 + #31 + Tim Hardaway + Delon for Otto Porter. Previously AK went this route in Denver gradually selling players for assets and I assume he'll go this route again which is why I expect half this current roster to be gone within 1 year.

I actually love Devin Vassell game. He is an elite defender and he also has a solid offensive game. I am not sure if we are having any private work outs with the players before the draft but I believe if we did he will rise in the draft.

I agree that most of the roster will likely be overturned soon. I think Zach will end up being the guy they build around.

The roster is set up with not many long term commitments for AK after this season to make it easy to reshape:
Porter, Kornet and Felicio come off the books as Free Agents
Young & Sato have reasonable buyouts and Arcidiacono has a team option they can declined.
This leaves a roster consisting of only LaVine, White, Carter, Lari (RFA), Gafford, Hutchison and this year additions (draft picks and FAs made by AK)

There is no way this Deni will be a straight defensive liability like Saric. Reports are his work ethic is intense; he’s quicker, and he seems really strong and in peak conditioning; in his interview, he sounded super poised, confident, and IMO has locker-room leader potential, while also being a good teammate while developing.

AK has a history of buying picks but it's pretty uncommon for teams to sell their 1st Round Picks. However Brian Windhorst did mention this specific draft you may see more teams trying to sell their picks for cash - https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/29544380/nba-owners-current-financial-turmoil-portends-future-payroll-problems. Teams like the Celtics, 76ers, Kings, Pelicans have a variety of picks.
Tyler Bey may move into the 2nd Rd. There is also Desmond Bane out of TCU. Some quality Soph and Junior prospects in this draft that could be solid role players at the next level.
However if we can get a late 1st Rd Pick, I would rather try to find a way to move up for Aleksej Pokusevski or Kira Lewis. Go for higher ceiling prospects. AK did this in the last 2 drafts buying Bol Bol and taking a risk on Porter Jr. Hoping he finds a way to do this again.
