Leave me out of your Trezz-Zubac beef.

I haven't participated all year and I'm not a part of it now because of one Trezz comment.

He was pissed at Doc for not challenging the play to at least boost morale and show support. Didn’t use the timeout anyway so he should of used it then it was not a foul

Have to give Denver credit for their defense. They were loading on Kawhi, slanting their defense towards him on the catch. They were also sending doubles, meeting him in the paint, digging on his drives and post ups, and had active hands on his spin move.

The first quarter was a clinic on ball movement and pressing with an advantage in Jokic being hot from three. We were scrambling through rotations to try to cover up the mishaps.

However, im not worried after this game. I don't see Denver being able to sustain that defensive effort, nor Kawhi missing some of those easy looks, PG turning the ball over, everyone missing open shots. Even with all the above, we were within five late.

The real issue is if Jokic stay hot from the perimeter. That adjusts our defensive game plan and forces dofficult rotations off breakdowns.
Plus, why would I want to go to the NBA? Duke players suck in the pros.

Was also 8 seconds on Jamal Murray on that play.

Pressed pause on the DVR.
Shot clock is at 16 and Jamal is passing it ahead....ball still in hand.
Refs missed it....shoulda been 107-99, Clipper ball, side out of bounds, with 1:18 left.

Clock has to hit 15 because technically you start on 23 seconds.

Has to get to 15 (technically 15.9) for an 8 second violation, 16 on the clock is actually 16.9

It does start at 24, but it starts at 24.0, so when it shows 23, it is 23.9, and 22 is 22.9, etc, etc

SMFH.
Waiting on this could be why we don't get over the hump this quarter.

That plus Kawhi sucks tonight.

Zubac 20 minutes minus-15
Trezz 18 minutes minus-2

Look, Trezz gave us all he had and got us back into the game. But Zubac isn't going to bring you back from a 15-point deficit.

38 combined minutes, then Doc went small with Green [plus+6]
wisely
we were in the hunt all the way

look elsewhere for blame

Bad game. :-?

This is why Kawhi insisted we get another superstar. PG was 7-19 with 4 TOs. :o

Hey, after we got smoked 44-25 in the 1st, we won the next 3 quarters.

31-28
21-17
24-22

So I'm not hating on anybody. We never quit tonight. Denver came out with max effort and everything went in. If we hit a couple shots--we were only 28% from 3--we steal this one back from them despite everything [including all those long rebounds] going the Nugs' way.

The Blame Game is for losers. I don't play it. Denver played excellently and won the game, and good on them. But no way they do this another 3 times.

Don’t believe Trez helped get us back into the game but Lou/George/Zu/Green all had spurts.

Zu needed to get into Jokic more on defense even at the risk of fouls. Trez has to play better overall with all those second chance rebounds and missed free throws. Everyone sucked really but better luck game 3

The first quarter killed us. Weoutscored them in every single quarter. So that's a good sign. Just can't get out to a lazy start again. On to the next game.

Also, as terrible as Kawhi played, Denver should've blown the Clippers out. You burn the game tape from the first quarter and get ready for game 3. And I'm sure Kawhi is gonna try and come back with a vengeance the next game.

i'm not super worried. kawhi was gameplanned to death but we were still in it. and he missed some of his usual shots.

if the team doesn't play like dinguses, giving the ball away on multiple occasions, then the game is uber winnable. beverley needs to sit his ass down though the next time he wants to make the game about himself.

what a freaking joke.

btw i thought paul george looked great. on defense he was a swiss army knife. just doing everything, pretty much. assuming beverley gets more minutes and doesn't play with his head up his ass again, the starters will look to make denver's life hell in the next game.

i like doc utilizing green. the defensive lineups with him involved are pretty intriguing. hard to make up for what you lose with jackson/williams/harrell in at the same time, though. i'm not sure that's fixable without some major lineup shifting.

That was a terrible game and very dangerous too. You have Denver demoralized and you let them take it to you with no resistance. Now Jokic and Murray have confidence.

Kawhi had one of the worst games I’ve ever seen him play. They defended him better but he shot poorly.

Hopefully they get their heads out of their asses for the next game

I doubt Murray and Jokic have confidence. They combined for 9 second half points. Like I've said aa bad as Kawhi played and Denver scoring 44 on 71 percent shooting, they should've won this game going away and yet the Clippers still had a chance to steal the game in the 4th.

denver had every chance to end the game by the 3rd quarter, and they couldn't do it.

and the clips still played like dookie and still almost managed a comeback. maybe they have confidence, maybe they don't, but i think denver doesn't have the ability to close out a critical game against us, as of this moment.

Bad game from Kawhi. They double him all game long. That first quarter told us everything. We'll get them next game. Lets see what adjustments Doc will make offensively
