Bucks offense looks much more fluid without Giannis.

forget the heart of a champion. never doubt the heart of a conference finalist.

Middleton broke the 35 minute ceiling and everything changed

Butler has been terrible in half the games so far, I think winning bias has contributed to his hype so far.

What hype though?
No one's proclaiming him as best in the league or anything like that.
He had 2 monster games in this series thus far. Everyone can have a poor game.

He’s been getting a ton of hype in the media and by fans around the league, if you read the GB. He’s a great player, and overall underrated.
But he’s inconsistent as a scorer, and he’s one of those guys whose bad games get ignored and his good games overhyped. A lot like Tony Parker back in the day. He followed up his monster game 1 with a 10 point game 2, and his team kind of bailed him out. Played pretty bad today too.
I like Butler a lot, and I think he’s a top 10, maybe top 6-7 player in the league on his best day, but he doesn’t get the same scrutiny that other top players would get.

He has been getting a disproportionate amount of the credit for Miami's success.

It's ridiculous.I think him and giannis led the league in minutes under Kidd.

Did you really just post a lineup with the starting 2 guard being JR Smith?
Our actual management posted a lineup with the starting 2 guard being Tony Snell.

But none of that hype is unwarranted or over the top.
No one was saying he's the best player in the league.

You can certainly argue he's the main catalyst.
But they have a great coach and supporting players around him.
To say he's 'carried' them is disingenuous, but he's certainly a big factor for their success.

When Damian Lillard struggled against the Lakers, he got criticism. When Embiid dominated the Celtics as an individual but they got swept, he got criticism. Giannis has been getting criticism. George has been getting criticism.
Butler plays like crap...crickets. When he plays well, he’s the reason for Miami’s success. It’s a double standard.

Re: 2019-20 NBA Season Discussion
Has an Mvp ever been exposed like this?
B2b Mvp
Dpoy
Bucks have played better with him not on the court ALL SERIES long
he gets injured when theyre down 1. They win the game by 3. Their only win of the series
Khris and Brook both look like better halfcourt options for Milwaukee

You should know by now that players aren't judged equally.
Come on now.
You have to apply different sets of standards for players.
It's why Lebron is judged differently.
Dame was being talked about as the best player in the league during the bubble. Of course, he'll receive more criticism for struggling vs the Lakers.
Giannis gets criticism, because he just had arguably the best RS ever. People want to see him play to that level in the playoffs.

Huge game from Middleton. They won't win this series anyway, but their halfcourt offense looks so much better when they don't rely on Giannis drives all the time. I still think that Lopez isn't used correctly and despite low stats, he was huge for Milwaukee again.

Re: 2019-20 NBA Season Discussion
Bledsoe and Giannis together just doesn't work against good defenses when Bledsoe shoots poorly from 3, which is pretty much every game when he is in the playoffs.

Also - Giannis offense comparisons with Shaq don't age too well now. I don't want to be overly harsh on him, but he hasn't proved so far that he can adjust. For all limitations, Shaq faced plenty of defensive pressure and he was rarely contained. Even in sweeps, Shaq's offense wasn't a problem.
Giannis doesn't have the defensive impact of all-time great bigman either. I've watched Rudy in playoffs and I don't doubt that he's better defender than Giannis.

Embiid didnt dominate **** unless youre just looking at the boxscore
his passing was horrible. Much more turnovers than assists and we completely shut down their shooters. Korkmaz didnt hit a 3 all series
We also exposed his overrated defense in the pick and roll and he wasnt even defending the rim that well.
It wasnt a "bad" series by Joel but "individually dominant" is hilarious. No Celtic fan was ever worried about Embiid. Wouldve been a much tougher series if it was Ben in there and Embiid was the one injured

Not a good night for Giannis’ status tonii I got. Obviously it’s onliy one game hit a lot of narrative will come out of it.
Him and Bledsoe are an awful fit.

Would you really be scared of Simmons and bunch of nobodies (including Harris who played like the one)? I don't see any reason to believe that Simmons would make any difference in place of Embiid. Simmons needs good scorers around him, he's not good that good halfcourt playmaker either.
Celtics would have swept Sixers with Simmons instead of Embiid anyway and I wouldn't be surprised if the Sixers had been even worse.
