I still think Dwight can be useful, he just can’t be the second big on the court with Davis. He was really undisciplined in the first game, but overall, he can contribute defensively and can help prevent all these offensive rebounds the Rockets keep getting.

Gotta give props to Rondo. Maybe playoff Rondo really is a thing... he also plays the best D on Harden

LeBron also hunted the right matchups to give the Lakers very steady offence.

Rondo was also surprisingly effective. Those 2 mid-range jumpers he hit took the air out of Houston.

FR. When rookie d-mitch outplayed and knocked him out of the playoffs 3 years ago, that was when it was clear to me that he was all hype.

So talented, just plays with too much emotion to make good decisions with the ball

Westbrook hasn't been a superstar for like 3 years now.

They didn't lose because of the guy who was -14 and scored 10 points on 15 shots? Westbrook is a really bad basketball player that will lose you more games than he'll help you win.

You don't agree that the Lakers being so top heavy and a 35 year old with those miles having to play 40 mpg could be a problem?

No, basically you're taking a positive (having two TOP 5 players) and turning it into a negative.

Of course when you have two players that good you are top heavy.

Shaq + Kobe were top heavy.

MJ + Pippen were top heavy.

Malone + Stockton were top heavy.

Magic + Kareem were top heavy.

As if Kawhi wouldn't trade PG13 and half the Clippers' roster for AD.

At the end of the day winning is all that matters. And so far the Lakers are looking okay.

I don't see how you could not view the Clippers as top heavy also. Outside of Kawhi and PG13 (who isn't even performing) they are literally average role players.

Clippers are not top heavy. Kawhi is their only superstar, PG is overrated (he is at best Top 20 player in the NBA, I wouldn't have him in my Top 15).

Rondo was the difference maker in this game. Secondary playmaker, defensive IQ, energy! It’s easy to just form an opinion about him because someone On realgm said he’s trash. He can be trash but if you were actually watching the game, he was the difference maker. It’s the intangibles that don’t show up on the stat sheet

They didn't though.

Shooters and Harden produced a 188 ORTG during the 3rd.

Houston lost this game because of Westbrook.

But they did. Houston getting crazy hot for a quarter is variance. Theyre not gonna hit 23 3's every night and the Lakers still locked them up defensively holding them to a pretty mediocre offensive rating overall. Rox shot 42% from 3 on 53 shots and somehow ended up with only 109 points. Thats impressive defense everywhere else

He has never been a superstar. Get out the first round as the best player and we can talk. Being a detriment to winning doesn't make you a superstar I don't care about his stats, his energy, his awards. He is a extremely flawed star. If I can't win with you your not a superstar.

Is it weird that I thought Rondo defended Harden well.
G - James | Rondo
G - Bradley | Caruso

I’m worried the rockets will eventually decide to bench Westbrook. The entire defensive approach is based on disrespecting Westbrook’s shot and taking advantage of his bad passing out of the drive.

He’s so bad.

You do realize that it has to hit 15 secs on the clock to be considered 8 sec violation right?
