I did not see this game but in this video clip Giannis never defended Varejao except maybe one time directly one on one and Varejao hit a lucky turn around over his outstretched hands. I never saw him defend Giannis so saying that Varejao "owned" Giannis based on this clip is a big stretch.

Varejao owned him in defensive end though. Didn't need a wall.

Giannis is really garbage as a skilled player. All athleticism based and his future is current Westbrook whose struggling to start after mvp caliber yrs. Just disappointing when I wanted him on the Bulls bc I thought he was skilled as a draft prospect.

He is offensively limited and in my opinion disqualified from MVP talks due to his performances..

.. this is crazy.. You've to also keep in mind that he is only 25. Last year was a big red flag for me and other NBA fans but this year is a year of introspection for Giannis also. He will try to improve etc. So cut him some slack till he's 27-28.

Also.. give us some credit. The HEAT personnel and Spo are doing their best to limit him as well.

Worst "superstar" I've ever seen. This average FIBA player is massively overrated by the media, in Europe or international competition he hasn't shined at all.

A guy who has been exposed constantly in NBA playoffs and FIBA tournaments can't be a top player. He is a very good regular season player though.

Maybe people want him to develop skills outside of barreling into opponents and cut down on the travels and offensive fouls in the process? Or maybe they want him to demand the ball in crunch time as the best player and put his team on his back like any other MVP would? You can’t be the best player and then vanish when the lights aren’t the brightest. Beating up on the Knicks and Bulls in the RS is nice for accolades but the real masters show up in the postseason.

I haven’t seen Tenet but I thought Dunkirk was a money-grab, bore-a-thon so I have my reservations on this one.

He's top-5 just from sheer impact on both sides but yeah he's the most offensively limited star player in the game.
We saw what happened in the FIBA tournament, he was locked down by some fat unathletic hungover Russians.

He started game 2 (his team down 0-1) with 3 airballs. Name another MVP to ever do that. That's why Shaq is Shaq and Giannis is just Andre Roberson on mega steroids.

He set the tone for their win tonight, packing the paint & grabbing anything he missed.

He's either got to be a teams center or learn to either dribble, shoot or pass. I think he'd make an insane rim running center, and there aren't many teams that can punish him on the other end by posting him up given how the rules for post play are now.
