Isaiah Joe is gonna be interesting. I have seen some mocks with him going like 29 pick. and some almost undrafted. I hope he's there at 32 and we take him and I HOPE that Tyrell Terry is not there and I have to potentially regret not taking him at 32

Re: 2020 Draft Discussion
Being a GM can be fun but I think it can be stressful. For instance, if I were GM this year I would be EXTREMELY stressed out.
Reason is, I really like Killian Hayes, and I really like Tyrell Terry as players but I would hate to trade back and try and obtain Terry and hes not there. Imagine wanting 2 players and trading and getting neither. I would rather trade back to like 10 and get Terry but there is no promise he will be there. Some GM's are risk takers and will take a Porzigis or a be like Isaiah Thomas and draft players noone has heard of.
Since I like Hayes, Terry and Dotson I have extra insurance that Dotson will be there. But I like Terry and Hayes quite a bit more than Dotson.
I am also a bit weird in that I think that Terry is slightly better than Hayes but I am slightly more of a fan of Hayes so I would take him even tho I am a HUGE Terry fan and think hes the better player lol

Re: 2020 Draft Discussion
Welp it's official. (you know me nothing is official until it's official) lmao. But from this moment I am drafting Tyrell Terry with our number 3 pick in the slightest of margins over Killian Hayes. Reason being is Terry suits my style on these boards. Meaning a guy who trades back and someone who favors the underdog. i.e. Jalen McDaniels, YuTa Watanabe.
So as of today my picks are
PICK 3 - Tyrell Terry
PICK 32 - Isaiah Joe
PICK 56 - Best available
I LOVE HAYES (so don't be surprised if I turn back in 10 minutes lmao) but I also think Terry is such an amazing talent. And potentially I get a free first rounder or two thrown in.

I agree with this mock. I wonder if there's a way to get both Okongwu and Hayes.

• 22-Year-Old Cutoff for Lottery Picks
The question about whether to avoid older players in the lottery becomes relevant again this October. Obi Toppin, college basketball's National Player of the Year, already turned 22 and is expected to draw top-five interest.
On one hand, there is a perception that he's one of the safest options based on his physical profile and production. On the other, it's worth asking whether Toppin dominated college players because he was older and more physically developed. And then, does he still have the same window to improve? After all, he'll be starting his pro career later and closer to his ceiling.
• The Late Riser
• Low-Assist Wings
• Low-Block Bigs
• No Bankable Skill
The "master of none" prospects in the 2020 draft to worry about include potential lottery picks Deni Avdija, Isaac Okoro, Precious Achiuwa, Patrick Williams and RJ Hampton.
Good read. Thanks.
Avdija is still really young and playing against men and putting up winning basketball, and Okoro has Heat culture-like hunger so I like both of those, but I agree on Toppin. Want no part of him. Toppin would be good for the Nets or a team that needs to contend for the finals in the next few years.

Re: 2020 Draft Discussion
I can understand thinking that Okongwu is a superior prospect to Wiseman; but what I don't understand is making the argument that a big shouldn't be selected in the top 3 and also advocating for Okongwu. The same arguments about the questionable impact on winning that bigs have in today's NBA would apply to both of them.

Okongwu can guard multiple postions while Wiseman can only guard 5's, and probably only 5's that can't shoot

Defense is about more than positional versatility, especially for a big. A guy with Wiseman's size and athleticism can lock down the paint better than Okongwu can. And while everyone is in love with 3 pointers a clean shot at the rim still generates more points per possession. So in other words good rim protection is still valuable, and Wiseman projects as the best in this class at it.
Wiseman can also fly down the court in transition. He isn't a slow plodder with no ability to affect the game outside of the paint.

Re: 2020 Draft Discussion
Okongwu has an insane block percentage if I remember correctly, #1 in the class, and that translates very favorably to the pro game
If Okongwu was a few inches taller he's without a doubt the #1 pick in the draft

Wiseman's block percentage is better. Small sample size yes, but he was pretty good against competition despite having no game prep because he didn't think he'd be able to play.
