Both choices sort of require us getting a 2nd FRP in some way.
Option A (Somewhat realistic):

TPE: Use the TPE and send like 3 2nds we acquired this year to Detroit (they have no 2nd round picks) and they give us Tony Snell. At 6'6 (6'11 wingspan), He would be a nice 3 n D wing on the bench for us (he can really shoot) He has nice size, hardly misses free throws, doesn't ask for the ball/doesn't require much of it. Just a good role player

MLE: Goran Dragić, Good Vet Back up PG, I still think he has something left in him (he's 34), can shoot and facilitate. I think we give him 2 years maybe he accepts and comes to live in SF away from Florida. Averaged 16 ppg/5 assists of the bench for Miami

Draft Pick: Get the top pick and take James Wiseman a mobile 7-1 center with a 7-6 wingspan able to block shots and jam down dunks. In our situation hopefully he can blossom gradually into an all-star talent. 2nd pick around mid-late first round get Desmond Bane. Would be a good backup SG that I would honestly prefer than half of our current roster, He's around 6'5, can pass, Defend, shoot lights out, switch a bit but limited, high IQ.

Min contract: Can bring GR3 back if he is willing

2-way: JTA and Bowman

C Wiseman, Looney, Chriss
PF Green, Paschall, Smiley
SF Wiggins, Snell, GR3
SG Thompson, Bane, Lee
PG Curry, Dragic, Poole

This was my previous(3 months ago?) offseason dream. Only change right now is Rudy Gay TPE and some other back up PG MLE if Dragic too expensive.

We must find a way to get Bane. He is the only perimeter player I trust will help us sooooo much next season

I love how you’ve double down on Wiseman lol. Got his whole rookie year growth arc.

I cannot wait for when the NBA Allows some sort of combine and hope players participate.

I can visualize what’s gonna happen if everybody is healthy. If not, all bets are off.

If I’m wrong it won’t be the first time lol, just ask my wife!

Early rumors of the Bucks playing hard ball and keeping Giannis for 2021-22 season. It means they'll try to add another player to Giannis and Middleton. I have no idea who. SIAP. Anyway, here's news that LaMelo worked himself into an endorsement deal with Puma and will be leaving BBB (snicker) -- https://lonzowire.usatoday.com/2020/08/26/lamelo-ball-news-puma-big-baller-brand-2020-nba-draft-roc-nation-sports/

With the Lakers becoming more of Anthony Davis team going forward it's definitely becoming more appealing to get Wiseman to match up physically. I think with Wiseman, Looney, Green, Wiggins, and Klay you have some options to put on LeBron and AD. I actually think Looney could do well on both, but having a guy that's more elite athletically like Wiseman seems like a must. The Lakers are a pound the paint team and we're seeing in the Rockets series that going all wings and guards is just not the answer.

Lakers went small. Gave up on McGee quickly and then Howard had a DNP today. AD is playing center.

Only other bigs are Morris and Lebron.

Rondo played way above his head, on defense and hitting open 3s.

Houston couldn't handle the trap in the fourth quarter. It wasn't about big men.

The guy who's defended AD the best is Tucker. I think it would be expecting a lot to match up Wiseman as a rookie vs. AD.

Though it has to be someone who can keep AD away from being right under the basket.

AD hasn't been a problem for us in the past, even before KD came in. However, Draymond is clearly past his peak so we need to get quality big men soon. Chriss and Looney at full health are very solid, but they are several tiers below Draymond.

I would venture to say AD is the better player than LeBron. For years LeBron just didn't really play defense and preserved himself for offense. Now LeBron just plays great in bursts, they have him go all out then rest right away. AD is the guy that actually really holds it down offensively and defensively.

Actually I suspect LeBron might be on steroids. Steroids are great for that strength advantage and injury prevention/healing but they can impact your cardiovascular system especially over time. I mean LeBron is insanely muscular and injury free which has always been rare for basketball, but now he will be out of breathe panting after four minute stretches.

I don't anticipate Wiseman being exclusive on AD, I think his length could help just like bigger guys we had in the past helped. The Rockets fight like hell on defense but they still look like a bit of a layup line for my taste and they are forced to pack the paint so much that they are making it easy on the Lakers role players.

LeBron and AD are guys you want shooting as many jumpers as possible. I wouldn't want to go 30 minutes of Draymond at center like the Rockets are doing with PJ.

The guy who could do real well switching on LeBron and AD is Paul Reed.

You spout a lot of BS.

West wasn't fired, he was offered a huge raise and left because the Warriors were not fun for him anymore. West prefers to build teams not maintain them. And when did Kirk Lacob become GM?

The player he just described is a borderline HOF level talent... Monta with more athleticism is Westbrook. Westbrook with an outside shot would be... insanely good.

Shams I trust but who is the Adam guy? Sucks to have to wait longer but I am not surprised. Hopefully we won't have to wait until late November.

I think cdubbz is on to something. I too got Monta Ellis vibes when i saw his style of play and movements.

I'd make a couple additions to the differences:
- Stanley more pop leaping, but Monta was faster/quicker
- Stanley looks like he has great body control and touch, but Monta was an ELITE finisher inside
- Stanley shot does look better, but pretty similar to Monta of old. Probably mid 30s shooter at best.

I still love the comparison in regards to skillset, body type, movements... and just think Stanley could be more of a role player version of Monta vs the Monta that played like a 1st or 2nd option.

Supposedly he has the best vertical in the draft.

As to your question, must be lack of shooting. But he is good value in the second round for sure.
