Let’s say they get Billy D and try to make a trade for Beal. What does that trade look like?

Not worth it unless you are keeping Lavine.

Bledsoe’s value is pretty low right now and has some long term salary.
What if the Bulls traded Sato + Young for Bledsoe and Wilson? Bulls take on long term salary, but I like Bledsoe next to Lavine and let Coby start in another year, move Bledsoe to the bench and have that 3 guard lineup.

Sorry its so tiresome, time for me to use the ignore button.
No he just sucked ass all year. And why do people say they are going to hit the ignore button like that is going to offend me I don’t care. I’m entitled to voice my opinion. I mean people were killing Lavine a while back hard on this board. Sato is this boards golden boy and he sucks. People on here bash way better players like Westbrook, Lavine, and Carter constantly. People here have bashed players like Dunn way worse when he was the starting point guard. So I’m free to say what I want to and voice my disappointment in the bulls having Sato. Im free to do that on a Chicago bulls board. People on this board are sensitive towards European players. But in the future if anybody want to ignore me I don’t give a ****. I’m going to keep voicing my opinion regardless.

Watching the Toronto series I really like the way Norman Powell plays. Plays fearless, good defender, athletic and a decent shooter. I wonder if Toronto would take Sato and a second round pick for Powell. Toronto gets a guy to give Lowry a breather for a few minutes. Bulls get a guy that can come off the bench and give you some defense and scoring. Toronto also would get a second round pick.

I would do that deal in a heartbeat. I don’t think bucks don’t it though. I mean I think they like Thad. I remember Giannis saying good things about Thad a few years back. But most of their guards are better than Sato.

76ers: Paul
Bulls: Harris
Thunder: Porter + Felicio (both expiring and near the minimum salary they can take back for Paul)
Harris is expensive relative to his value on the court, but boy would the Bulls look a lot better (if healthy) if you swap him and Porter. Question is really around whether he's a SF at this point in his career or not as he's lined up mostly at PF.
Here's the thing, if Markkanen becomes a contributing PF, just very good not even great, with White, Lavine, Carter they don't need a huge production out of the SF, just similar to Lauri, very good not even great. People want to denigrate Lavine as not #1 guy, well Harris isn't now and wouldn't be for the Bulls. They want to add talent and build next year possibly a SF at #4. So when Porter, Felicio, maybe Satoransky come off the books and Young is probably gone, isn't it likely they will have either drafted a SF who they hope will fill the starting role, or they can find one on a max deal that was their call or sign a very good not even great one to step right in. As a player Harris would be a great add but if he denies the Bulls any flexibility in drafting the next 2 years or in free agency when they have the money to spend he's not a big help.
I agree with you. People on here are down on the bulls young talent but imo it’s not the talent it’s that they all can’t stay healthy. Honestly at the 3 Porter is the ideal fit with this team. He is an Elite spot up shooter. His first year here he was developing good chemistry with Lauri and Lavine. He also showed way more creation ability off the dribble than he did at Washington when he was with the bulls. He made everybody on the team better honestly. Coby, Lavine, Porter, Markannan, Carter is a good starting 5 IF THEY CAN STAY HEALTHY and develop chemistry. I hope Markannan can have a bounce back year. I like Gafford, and a healthy Hutch off the bench. Dunn was just one vote shy of making all defensive team. But I really believe Porter injury hurt the bulls the most this season along with terrible coaching and Markannan regression.

I sure hope that is true, but I think healthy Porter is a myth. He had a 25 minute per game limit when he was healthy before he got hurt again. Something is chronically wrong with him, which was the rumor in Washington before he even started missing all the games. While healthy, he looked old and incapable last year and couldn't even stay healthy.
I sure would love for Porter to prove me wrong.

Re: NBA Trade Thread #2
Would DET maybe send Rose home to CHI in a S&T for Dunn or Valentine? It could be a cheap deal like 18/3, and that'd be a low-risk pickup for a young guard with potential. Valentine went to MSU and DET loves hometown players; he addresses needs for 3P shooting and passing. Dunn's defense is proven and his PnR with Griffin and Wood might be entirely alright.
I'd like Rose to run the 2nd unit and mentor Coby.

Why would Detroit do this?? Dunn is pretty bad and it is quite laughable to suggest he could run P&R when he ranks in the 14th percentile in terms of efficiency. Valentine does not have any value at all...
You can't just trade 2 fringe NBA players for a solid rotational player in Derrick Rose. Teams aren't that stupid.

My reasoning was Max Cap Space in 2021 Free Agency while still being a title contender in 2021.

Well, Dunn finished finished 11th in the All-Defensive team rankings (meaning he just narrowly missed the 10-man selection). I won’t argue that he’s a great starting PG, but he figured out what he needs to do to make a name for himself (play his mind out on defense). I also think he opted to rest on his sprained knee cause it was a contract year, the Bulls sucked and had a PG glut. He’s probably in great shape and ready to help somebody else win some games.
Rose can’t defend a fence post, and he’s not going to be anything more than a mentor or bench spark, so we’re not talking about acquiring Tyler Herro here. He’s also expiring and will probably be able to contend with LAC, LAL or GSW after his contract expires, so DET really doesn’t have much reason to hang onto him. No one is giving up a FRP for a Rose rental.
Detroit has terrible PG depth, even if DET drafts one. We can sure stand to lose a few young ones and get a vet.

Bulls trade - Lavine/Sato/4th pick
for
Warriors trade - Wiggins/2nd pick/2021 Minn pick
Warriors add Lavine, who as a 1st option shot 38% on 3s and averaged 25ppg, who now moves to 3rd option so he can pick his spots, hit 3s, and attack a scrambling defense instead of a set defense. Warriors add Sato as additional depth, drop down to 4th and add a great defensive big who is developing his offense in Okongwu. Warriors lose Wiggins at the cost of dropping 2 spots this draft and losing the Minn pick and help there cap moving forward.
Warriors have a lineup of Curry/Lavine/Thompson/Green/Okongwu with a bench of Sato/Paschell/Chriss
Bulls add Ball this draft and have 2 picks next year (own and Minn)Next year Otto and Felico fall off the cap and the Bulls with a good coach can be looked at as a young upcoming team. I would go with a lineup of Ball/White/Otto/Lauri/Carter with a bench of Dunn(resign)/Wiggins/Young/Gafford. Wiggins will probably start as Otto is always hurt but if Otto remains healthy then Wiggins can play 30-35 mins off the bench between the 2/3/4 positions.

I know that 2021 pick has value, but I'm not excited enough about anyone at #2 to want that Wiggins contract. I might have considered it if I knew Edwards was available at 2 (which I don't expect).

I would look into trading Valentine. I think he would be good on another team. I would keep Dunn. I don’t view Dunn as a starter but he averaged 11 points 6 assist on 42% from the field 35% from 3 with very good defense when he was the starting pg. Our starting Pg last year averaged 9 points 5 assist 43% from the field and 32% from 3 with bad defense. Dunn also adds toughness that this team lacks. Their are some soft players on the bulls.

I will be interested to see what the Bulls do about Dunn and Valentine. IMO, they are both vet min players, and I wish them luck elsewhere. I also think that neither guy has the work ethic to expand their game to be more than 10th man specialists.

Nah, Lavine is a keeper as far as I'm concerned. I would be interested in sending Porter Jr. and Gafford to the Warriors for Wiggins and the Wolves 2021 first round pick. The 2021 draft will be loaded with needle movers.
