Also the lakers have bounced back against the rockets which goes to show that if we had someone like Lowry or Rondo we’d be on our way to the eastern conference finals.
I think even a trade of Horford/Milton for Gordon/Tucker would be enough.
Hopefully being bounced by the lakers will make them see they need Horford who could have contained AD and Milton could give you some of what Gordon has been giving.
We resign Burks to the mle and josh Jackson to the minimum.
Draft RJ Hampton and that would an exciting team to watch
Gordon/Burks/Smith
Richardson/Thybulle/Hampton
Harris/Korkmaz/Jackson
Simmons/Tucker
Embiid/Pelle
Simmons can play back up centre and hopefully make some jump shots haha

You want to trade for eric gordon and start him at PG?

Have you seen how he’s been playing in the playoffs? I think he’ll be even better next season especially on defense guarding the 1 and 2.
Simmons will be the main ball handler.
I think we still need a proper pg off the bench and I think kris Dunn or Reggie Jackson could be a buy low bargain.
Harris can play his natural 4 while Simmons guards the 3 on defense.

Been thinking all playoffs, "Eric Gordon would be our best ball handler by a lot."

Doesn't mean he could be our point guard (I don't think he could) but it would actually be an improvement on what we have, as sad as that is.

He would be the best ballhandler on this team for sure. But who does he replace in the starting lineup? Hes not a PG, not a good defender , a streaky shooter(36%, 31% from 3 this season) and has never been a playmaker.

I think he would be fine as a 6th man scoring option off the bench.

It's sort of incredible how badly they mangled that. A lot of it was Simmons being hurt but if you're building your team around Joel, having a few people even semi-competent at getting him the ball at the post seems like a box you'd want to check. I mean how many times in the restart did someone just throw some ridiculous lob to him that inevitable got broken up?

Yeah, I mean, scoring off the dribble has never been a particular strength of Gordon's so I don't think he'd fare well drawing the primary defender on the other team as the lone/lead initiator on his own team.

He's at his best as an ancillary catch and shoot player that occasionally attacks closeouts. Elevating him from that role for us could be a disaster.

It is kinda sad that he would be the best option for us of all the guys we currently have under contract.

Be careful what you wish for. Jason Kidd is as tricky as they come and we definitely don't want him lol.

Why would he want to leave? They cater to his every whim. They even shipped out Chris Paul for his bestie who is a worse player, because Harden couldn't get along w/him.

I'm guessing Fertitta is going to fire Morey and the Rockets will be blowing this thing up.

Is Fertitta still heavy in the restaurant industry? His net worth must be majorly hurting, and he was already a cheap owner always looking to cut salary to begin with.

Houston's lack of effort on D is comical. They've obviously given up.

It's amazing how good Harden can be while being so out of shape. The guy is a fatass.

Lakers 23 more FGAs and almost 50FG%.
5 less 3s and 15 less 3pt mades than Rox.
That’s how you beat a smallball team.

I think rondo has been a x-factor for them too.

Sure he’s a factor. But the biggest factor is the extra possessions and high FG%

Just watch the celts-raps game:
Being one game for elimination, Nurse was gutsy to play small down the stretch with a Siakam-OG frontcourt. It was the right move in the fourth quarter. Specially when Lowry was on fire hitting contested 3s after contested 3s. This allowed them to tie the game and force OT.

But in OT, I thought they should have played with Gasol or Ibaka. This would have limited easy baskets by Theis which were big in a very tight game. In the end, they got lucky with Tatum making key TOs while Lowry hit that tough fade away

Denver is like 8 or 9 deep with quality players and we want to trade a starter + Thybulle + draft capital for a 36 year old point guard. That's not the recipe for sustainable future success.
