Not cheating on your wife isn't that damn hard. In this case, it was even easier because outside people literally weren't allowed. So it wasn't like he had some chick all up on him and he gave in to temptation, he had to go out of his way, and put his team's season in jeopardy (among other things) just to cheat on his wife. That's pathetic.
I've been staying inside a lot lately, haven't gone out to eat in months, haven't done a lot of my regular activities, it doesn't take some kind of superhuman effort to make good choices.
