It's easy to criticize him but living in a bubble is tough

Not cheating on your wife isn't that damn hard. In this case, it was even easier because outside people literally weren't allowed. So it wasn't like he had some chick all up on him and he gave in to temptation, he had to go out of his way, and put his team's season in jeopardy (among other things) just to cheat on his wife. That's pathetic.

I've been staying inside a lot lately, haven't gone out to eat in months, haven't done a lot of my regular activities, it doesn't take some kind of superhuman effort to make good choices.

I think Pharmcat isn’t 100% serious but he may be right in regards to what arrangement house has with his wife. Lots of people have that kind of thing and I’m sure athletes do to.

However times aren’t that desperate to need to sneak someone in and put the whole season at risk. Get harden or lebron or someone infected and the whole legitimacy of the season is rightfully u der question.

This is where the issue is to me. He should be that desperate to see his children ( and probably wife), not another less significant relationship.

I mean come on it’s not really a huge deal to go without sex. He’s really let down his team and his family.

I will agree people are jumping to conclusions and they may have some type of agreement between themselves but what are the chances she would be ok with that? Lol. Even if she were ok with that what is the chances she would want it public knowing her kids might hear about? I just think the chances are slim even with pro sports player and their wild life style.

This is absolutely devastating & I LOVE him as a player. They will have to get rid of him after this season, as there is no way the team will be able to look at him in the locker room knowing he left them out to dry over s*x.

On IG he has posts of his three kids and his partner. That must be heart wrenching to the mother of those children. With all the stress, I wouldn’t be surprised if he comes back worse next season from not being totally in tune with his craft over the break.

What a terrible fall from grace with so much potential lost; he could of made a serious impact in this series & maybe even beyond this round. Hope he bounces back strong w/ just his gift and family as his primary focus.

I think if you mean, by "things like this", a player being caught in off-court drama and it being a distraction during the playoffs, yes this could blow over. Specific to some dirtbag pro cheating on his family, I think a lot of players would easily turn their eyes away and not judge him for it. Just think of how many pro athletes you can think of immediately who are cheats, well known for hard partying, have multiple baby mommas, etc. Still with megacontracts.

But, because he was endangering his own team and everyone else in that bubble, I think a whole lot of players will not be willing to forgive him. And the public perception might be too damaging for any team to risk signing him. We'll see in the next week or two - if this news fades fast, he'll be fine. If it's a headliner on ESPN saying "Rockets feel betrayed by House", well he might be gone.
