McCann and Frenchy..

Post#1 » by Pai Gow » Mon Apr 2, 2007 2:48 am

They both had good seasons last year. Personally I thought Frenchy struggled a bit, he had good numbers but I think he could do a lot better than what he should us.

These two guys are going to have to put it together this year and become great this season if we wanna make the postseason. Druw can only do so much for this squad and freakin Chipper is always hurt.

Francouer did struggle a bit, but overall his numbers were solid. I just hope the staff has been working with him on taking bad pitches, because his on-base percentage obviously suffers when he's swinging away at everything and rarely taking walks.

The thing I'm really excited about is how much we've improved our bullpen. I was so sick of seeing our relief pitchers blow leads last year - we had to be amongst the worst in the league. And still, we just missed the playoffs by about 2-3 games. We made a lot of nice little moves this past offseason.

Jeff is a streaky hitters, so we will need to deal with it, but he should improve as the years go by. I

I fixed it for ya. I do believe he will be THE best in a short time though.

I'm hoping Francoeur gets an extension soon.

Glad we locked McCann up.

I would take Mccann over Mauer. Mauer just has a nice average but Mccann can hit for power and also for average.

McCann is going to be a perennial all-star starting C for the NL for the next few years. count on that.

I'll be happy if Francoeur puts up a .275, 35, 110 season and i expect him to do that.

I'd be absolutely thrilled if those were Francoeur's numbers this year.

Yeah.. if Francour has numbers like that we'll definitely be in the post season, and he'll see the kind of raise that McCann just got.

McCann goes yard in his first AB... Nice

McCann is deifnitely my favorite out of the two. Already in the top 3 cathers in the majors.
