I guess with the way we played 80% of the series it's a miracle we were this close, still stings

Context is important mr leafz
He stated long he has gone is 2 weeks in the summer , do you think circumstances prevent him from working on his game?
He worked every year, under protocol if they had no access to a hoop how do you expect to get shots up, man cant afford a basketball court in his house yet .

Watching Siakam was worse than Bargs. At least Bargs didn't try to force the issue.
I'm still pro-Siakam but we have to acknowledge that he took us out of the series by trying to do too much when it was clear he was in no position to.
Did you guys hear all the in-game cries by Siakam every time he blew a shot or lay up? He was clearly **** up. His body language was SO bad and he didn't stop.
He needs to cool off.

Re: PG: Still the CHAMPS!
As **** as siakam was and as disappointed I am with him, this isn’t the time to trade him as his value is now at an all time low. I’m sure he’s hearing all the slander and hate he’s getting right now and will use it as motivation to truly work on developing his game to make himself worthy of that contract. He’s a guy who brought himself up and made a career out of basically nothing. I trust he will use this motivation to get to where he needs to be.
Win or lose, watching this team fight so hard to show our value and prove that we weren’t just a 1 man team last year is everything. The team easily could’ve sat back and relaxed knowing they had the perfect excuse set up for them with kawhi leaving but they defended their title with honor and represented our city amazingly all things considered. That’s all I can ask for and I’m proud to be a fan of this team.

Re: PG: Still the CHAMPS!
the worst thing about this was getting the 2nd seed and really having no home court yet we still had a chance to win the damn series in the end. we really just didn't show up in game 7 and were within striking distance. FEELS BAD MAN

Poor brain dead plays by Powell and Nurse wanting FVV to turn into Jordan was something else.
Boston was so bad tonight, it was an absolute easy W. Easiest all series just dangling for us and then Nurse and Pascal happened.

I honestly don't understand all of the people saying they "hate" Siakam. I'm extremely disappointed, sure, maybe even mad that he fell apart so quickly. But I certainly don't hate the guy. He's one of the main players on my favourite team, and he's never shown that he's anything but a nice man and a hard worker.
I do think on offence he has a bit of a case of the yips almost. I think the Raps should bring in a sports psychologist to work with him in the off-season. That said, I fully expect him to keep working on his game. I'll remain cautiously optimistic that he'll work on some of his weaknesses and come back more confident next year so that he doesn't have the same kind of massive lows.

And we had threads here comparing him to Tatum. Jesus christ. Pitiful performance. People playing on one leg have more of an impact.
On the flip side, that's still playoff DeMar with better defence

Re: PG: Still the CHAMPS!
Re-sign Ibaka to one year deal, Gasol should be gone unless he wants to sign for vet minimum or MLE, re-sign Van Vleet hopefully around 5 year deal for $100M.. I hope he doesn’t get more than that. Try and flip Siakam and a pick for Beal. If we can sign Giannis and have Beal as the second best player that team would dominate the East for the next 6 years.

Siakam is done as an upper echelon NBA player.
We gotta do everything possible to get away from this guy ASAP.

Re: PG: Still the CHAMPS!
Comically bad ending that will leave a sour taste for awhile, but all in all a great season. It stings less thanks to last year and don't forget we were lucky not to get swept by BOS. Siakam was a major let down, we need to be thinking how to move on from him if he doesn't improve immediately given his age. FVV is a very good player but simply too limited come playoffs; he should only be retained at the right price. A core of Siakam/OG/FVV should keep us competitive as a perennial 2nd-round team - that's good but not great. In Masai we trust.

He should have been benched earlier in the series. Nurse lacked the balls that, I can't believe I am saying, even Dwayne Casey had.
