IDGAF what anyone says. The reason some of us are so pissed at Siakam isn't even because he didn't perform to the level of a number one option. No, it's not even because he didn't perform to the level that he played at in last year's playoffs. Nope. It's because he couldn't even perform to the level of a **** role player. The dude was complete balls. And the fact that he's the "main guy" him getting constant isos and post ups that he bricked just cost us possessions that we could have been running for someone else. It's on the coaching staff too. They **** up hard.

On the flip side, that's still playoff DeMar with better defence

Really isn't. If we had Derozan instead I think we'd have won. We could hide him on defense. Spurs Derozan really isnt the same as he was on the Raptors.

This is crazy talk. You can’t hide Demar. Every good offence will scheme to get the match up they want vs Demar and kill it. Then you’re over compensating sending help and everyone’s game opens up. Stop with the crazy.

Tatum is not quick, like he just has OK speed, and he kept blowing by Siakam. Again, TNT, Stan was calling it out. I feel bad for anyone watching the Raptors cast for this one.

Exactly. I have no idea what people were watching when they keep repeating the Siakam's better than Demar on D when both were equally ineffective. You can't use a Demar comparison to justify Siakam sucking ass.

Siakam was merely present on D and did very little to play actual defense like getting tips, strips, boxing out, rebounding. His D only consisted of maintaining defensive stance and ill-advised jumps when closing out on shooters.

If only Siakam jumped as high as he does on shooters when he attempts layups and putbacks.

Siakam's 'OK on D' is ONLY credited to him not fouling every time. That's it.

Good season champs. I'll still be rocking my raps gear tomorrow and all through the fall.

Saddest part right now is not even knowing the next time we will see the raps play an NBA game again. Hope the guys all manage to stay safe.

Anyone know protocol for when they actually leave the bubble ?

This offseason is going to arguably be the most important in our franchise. How do we keep the young core we have, while preserving flexibility to get one of the biggest free agents in the game in 2021? It’ll be fascinating to watch.

He fully deserves the flack he’s getting. It’s the NBA playoffs. Man up.

I’ll give him another chance in a non-pandemic, normal season. Overreacting rn is idiotic

Congrats on your run last year and you guys gave it everything you had, but it was just a hard-fought battle, and you guys made every possession feel like it was a miracle to score. Good luck for next season

When is the last time a conference final was played without at least a #1 or #2 seed playing? For either conference. It’s been a few years. Has it happened this century? The Cavs were #4 a couple of years ago but they played the Celts who were #2.

Watching Siakam was worse than Bargs. At least Bargs didn't try to force the issue.

I'm still pro-Siakam but we have to acknowledge that he took us out of the series by trying to do too much when it was clear he was in no position to.

Did you guys hear all the in-game cries by Siakam every time he blew a shot or lay up? He was clearly **** up. His body language was SO bad and he didn't stop.

He needs to cool off.

He should have been benched earlier in the series. Nurse lacked the balls that, I can't believe I am saying, even Dwayne Casey had.

Even without being benched he should have the awareness to freeze himself out on offense and only look to hit the boards or set picks. Instead, the guy was trying to initiate and finish everything when he had nothing. At some point, you need to realize it's not working and contribute with the only thing that never fails - hustle.

I hope Ibaka and Lowry guide Siakam through this to understand how to channel criticism and failure to fuel yourself to improve. I trust he will.
For lease.

The good thing is the Raptors are still only one player away from being legit contenders again.

Kind of disappointment at the lack of veteran savvy shown by Van Fleet and Siakam, but I also don't think they're really there yet. The Raptors won the games where Lowry played that elite scorer role, but that really isn't his game and he won't be able to do it consistently. They need to add that wing player and go at it again. Siakam needs to go back to that third man role he played.

Ask Jamal Murray and Kawai if they give a f*ck about the pandemic. Stop making excuses.

Thanks for the good feels brotha. I'll be cheering for you guys for the rest of the playoffs. I'll still cringe every time Smart does an obnoxious flop tho. His acting ain't Oscar worthy, more like Razzie worthy.

Sometimes reading realgm makes you wonder if we actually deserve a good team lmfao. 1 year off a championship with no expectations on this season and people are acting like we just came off a lebron sweep

This is such a bull excuse. I lost fat, gained muscle, shot hoops multiple times a week during the entire quarantine while my gym was closed. And I’m a nobody with not even a tenth of his resources, wealth, nor reasons to put in work. If the man wanted to come into the season-resumption bubble in shape and was willing to put in the work, he would have.

My neighbour plays in the OHL... getting drafted in the second round this year. He was getting on the Ice 5 days a week starting in April and was meeting his trainer for dry land everyday. That’s complete bull **** Siakam couldn’t get a court. That excuse is laughable.

slightly unrelated but was anyone else annoyed with Siakam feeling the need to run and exaggerate his contests at the 3 pt line so the celtic( mainly tatum) easily side steps and hits a 3. How the f is it so hard to contest without having to go balls out and go for the bate, just jump without losing your position, ue agile and athletic enough to recover by doing that. Smdh

This is so true. I can't get over all the posters saying at least he played good defense. He was terrible except for some good stretches in the 2 OT's in game 6

Again. We just lost a heart breaker. Let them vent. Revisit with your critical eye tomorrow when everyone has had a chance to breathe.

I dont mind losing to the Celtics. And it was a hard fought 7 game series. I'm just disappointed that one of our stars who is going to be a big part of the franchise, didn't put any work for 3 months, that could of helped us a little bit in the series.
