How many wins do you guys think they will have? I was going through the schedule and it could get ugly. That being said, I've like what I heard from Scary Terry, Haskins and Gibson in the offseason and Young should be a solid piece.

This is a 4-12 roster, but Ron Riviera will add 2 wins, so I'll go 6-10.

I'm more optimistic - which I'll probably get over. I mean, they have absurdly good talent on the D-line, and that seemed to be the key to San Fran's surge last season. I expect Haskins to be dramatically better than last year. And, we have 3 play-makers on offense - Terry, Sims, and AG. And I'm optimistic that by mid-season, they'll have Love getting 10 plus carries a game. I'm going with 8-8.

This team will go 8-8, maybe 9-7.
Bye bye Beal.

I hope you're right, they better have some serious gimmicks for the O-line. JP Finley today took a long pause before answering how Haskins was doing. He was trying to be diplomatic but ended up basically saying he still throws high so his mistakes end up being big mistakes.

Wish Denver would give us a good O-lineman for Kerrigan but that's probably not at all realistic.

I got Washington 20, Philly 14. If nothing else, Washington's front 4 can cause other QB's to throw high.

.

And this is my problem with Haskins at this point...his technique and mechanics are still awful by nfl standards. I imagine this coaching staff has helped to get rid of some of his bad habits, but I think he needs more than a weird shortened offseason to fix these issues. Combine that with a weak o-line, and you’re going to have bad throws. The only question is how many bad throws and does the other team take advantage.

Opinion or facts? Which sways your appraisal of Dwayne Haskins. How about actual game logs?

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HaskDw00/gamelog/2019/

At the end of last season, in his final six games Haskins threw only three interceptions. Haskins threw seven touchdown passes over that same 6-far span.

His passer rating was 122 against the Eagles. Washington is going to win by more than a touchdown this weekend.

Gibson is going to make a huge difference in this team’s effectiveness.
Bye bye Beal.

Looks like last season (almost).

I don't follow football new at all closely but would defer to Boswell (WaPo) re
team chances this year.

As I type this, I also have to wonder how many games will be played before the whole
thing gets shut down. Might be wrong about that. We shall see.

PS - is it time to change the thread name?

Nate are you not going to change the thread title? Or do I have to see this slur every time I log on?

Score looks about right. Most of the talent on this team is on the DL; the other positions on this team are clearly missing top-end talent.

*edit: and as I say this, the Skins get an INT and TD. Should be 17-10.

Offense struggling, about to be expected, but Gibson is showing out and McLaurin bringing it at the end of the half was nice to see.

The defense needs to be more disciplined, some key penalties that extended drives is what really hurt them, but despite the score I am not hating what I am seeing on defense despite Fuller being out.

If the Skins win this, you have to give credit to RR. This is one of the best gameplans I've seen from a Washington coach in a long time.

The Redskins win.

Haskins defeated Wentz.

As I said above ...
Bye bye Beal.

Ten points is more than a touchdown.
