I think it is fair, but no thanks from the Bulls. If we move Lauri, I would go for the #10 from the Suns, and keep the #4. I just don't think the top 3 stand out, about the next tier-and I don't like Ball at all as a potential Bull

I wonder if GSW would have to go a little lower than 4 in this draft to pull something similar off. Get a young player that the club may not want to pay to resign and will take the upgrade to 2 instead. Or send something else back to CHI. Any of these, could be #2 plus something else:

#4 and Lauri
#5 and Nance (I know he's signed)
#6 & Collins

Depending on which one add Smailagic or a future top-20 protected first or ???? Some other asset to help make it worth it to the team moving up.

What if the deal was Lauri/OPJ/#4 for Gobert?

Minnesota would highly consider offering #1 for that package, in my opinion.

Even the guy I like most in this draft, Wiseman, has some very serious red flags and I just don't know about adding value to get a guy like that. Obviously, there are 30 teams and every F.O. has their own evaluations of different players, but I don't see a Doncic type prospect in this draft. Also, I absolutely think a team like the Wolves would move off of No. 1 if they could get good value. The year the Cavs took Bennett, they were still on the phone trying to trade out of that pick while they were on the clock.

I would do this trade if it was the 2019 or 2018 drafts. 2020 draft moving up 2 spots doesn't matter. All the prospects at the top have red flags.

Also this. Why do this with Golden State when you can do this with Minnesota?

If Bulls are in love with any of Edward, Ball, or Wiseman, AND Warriors are not in love with them, this is a type of deal I expect to happen for Bulls to leapfrog over Hornets.

Bulls could potentially move the #2 pick in a trade. So now, the #2 pick can be moved without Wiggins' nasty contract attached to it.

At that point, I think several teams would be interested.

This would be my first choice for the Bulls. Their needs are far different from GSW who are looking for a right now get a championship piece. The Bulls want to assemble more quality assets, be they young players who can contribute and a pick in the 8-12 range this year and one in the near future. They would be more open to some guys coming to the end of their rookie contracts who, like Markkanen, are question marks to extend or if a team wants to bank everything on 2021 cap space so they can go deep in the playoffs so they don't want to extend a young guy. Teams could take back Young, Satoransky or Felicio with shorter smaller contracts than Wiggins.

This would be my second Bulls choice. Move up to #1 probably take Edwards to join Lavine and White. Look to move Porter to the PF for a year, draft a SF at #17 to come up behind Hutchison.

In either case they still trade Thad Young and probably move Satoransky and whatever they bring works around who they get in the big draft pick trades.

So how about this for Chicago?

Chicago trades: #4, Lauri Markkanen, Otto Porter Jr.
Chicago receives: Rudy Gobert, small salary

Utah trades: Rudy Gobert
Utah receives: #2, Otto Porter Jr.

Golden State trades: #2, TPE
Golden State receives: Lauri Markkanen

Bulls are rebuilding here. They don't need Gobert. They need a star they can build around. 3 team trades are too complicated. What happened to the #4 pick?

The Bulls have reportedly expressed interest in Gobert. Not sure what they offered. #4 goes to Golden State.

Bulls have already been rebuilding for 3 years, since you traded Butler.

Where do the trades come from that only warriors benefit and why do people believe that something like this can happen?

I can’t see GSW giving up the #2 for Lauri alone. Need that pick swap or a lightly protected 21 coming back.

My mistake. The #4 would go to the Warriors in this scenario.

Yes, that is.

The problem is that it takes two to tango and the Bulls refuse it in a heartbeat since Markkanen is worth more than jumping from #4 to #2.
