It's not a bad run considering he ran into a Jordan's Bulls type team for much of it

I mean, that's not wrong

This was only the 2nd time in the last 6 years they didn't meet the Warriors in the playoffs

You can say small ball doesn't work, and I think that's true for the extremes the Rockets went to, but their end point always seemed to be where they met the Warriors, which means it's kinda hard to tell how good they were exactly.

I don't think you can really say they even did it to an extreme. Gasol and Ibaka barely got any minutes in the 2nd half of the Celtics and Raptors last night either. At the end of the day, as good as AD was Lebron is the one that just dominated the Rockets here.

Bam leads the Heat in assists in the playoffs, AD is the best big in the NBA capable of scoring 40+ in a playoff game, and Theis shoots the three and is making $5 million this season.

If Mitch can lead the Knicks in assists per game or space the floor while making $5 million per or score & defend like AD, sign me up.

If the Knicks trade for Westbrook....no they won't, they can't...please no, don't do that to Knicks fans....ugh. I will literally buy a Rose jersey just to burn it.

i'd happily do it. RJ is the only thing of significant value and let's be real no matter how high you are on RJ he's not going to be harden, he didn't even have a really good rookie season. 8 and 27 will probably be busts and then you have the late first round mavs picks. And as an added bonus we get rid of randle? We don't even have to trade one of our own picks? and we get one of the best players in the nba

All these 40, 50, 60 points streaks in regular season thrown right in the freaking bin. I mean every season the same thing happens to Harden, from 'the best offensive player of all time', to 25ppg in playoffs and eliminated in second round.

Give me a player who can win in the playoffs over a guy who sets regular season scoring records.

They know how to play defense without costing themselves and their teams. Mitch aint nowhere close to them.

I dont get why some of y'all do this to yourselves. These games have been entertaining for the most part. Why ruin the enjoyment by comparing actual contributing players to the Knicks?

the playoffs always show the difference between tier one stars (Lebron, Kawhi, KD) and the next tiers.

Yup, add Steph and possibly Giannis and you just know who the top 5 are. The rest simply isn't up there (and while Giannis is probably going to get there, I'd much rather wait and see for now as we've apparently been too early with the assumptions).

I love that you included Durant. I mean this is the drawback of the internet-age. The judgment is so radical and frantic that KD who's been the best player in the league for an easy 4-5 years is generally an afterthought already. I say don't count out Curry either - those dudes have absolutely put themselves above the rest of the league.

he is, which makes this interesting (not specifically for the knicks). But the bucks if he doesn't want to resign probably have to look to deal him because if he leaves with no return assets that franchise is f*cked for the next 10 years.

I really think Houston has a terrible roster. I'd choose a more natural approach. While the assumption that Harden needs to play in space is probably correct, it doesn't mean that the other teams don't create space at all with more traditional lineups. What's more, if anyone could get along with a little less spacing, Harden is probably the one player in the league to do it.

That said, you'll want shooters, but obviously you don't want to sacrifice too much along the way (as Houston did in the Capela trade). Right now, only Robert Covington looks like an adequate sidekick to Harden on that roster. Going from there, you add shooting, defense and screeners/rebounders.

Harden
Hield/Gordon
Covington
Morris
Baynes

Other targets for Houston:
Turner, Aldridge, Middleton, Gobert, Markkanen, Bertans, Mitch Robinson, Love etc.

Levert, Harris, Allen and some picks? Is that better than my Bucks offer? It's definitely younger but with all those trades with the Thunder you'd think they'd want to be more competitive

Levert, Dinwiddie, Allen 2 first rounders, 2 pick swaps.

Stars haven't really gotten more than that, allows them to recoup picks from the Westbrook trade while putting a semi competitive team on the floor so they can avoid losing good picks to the Thunder.

Wait, you just included a rim running big as having value after a trillion posts about they have no value? :D
