Bam is gonna destroy fake Chris Andersen lmaoooooo

LMAO Theis has very little to do with Chris Andersen basketball wise

We still owe Jae Crowder an ass kicking for what he did to Hayward in Cleveland.

We still owe the Heat an ass kicking for 2011, 2012 and then taking Ray Allen from us.

We still owe the Lakers an ass kicking from 2010.

Miami is in for a rude awakening. We are 10x better at defending the 3 than the Bucks and we match up much better with them than the Bucks:

- As good as Adebayo is, Theis matches up pretty well. Adebayo is not a physical guy.
- Our starting 5> their starting, easily.
- I really am not scared of a team led by Butler. I literally have more faith in both Brown and Tatum than I do Butler. I actually think both of them are better than him defensively, too.
- Kemba is gonna play Nunn and Dragic.
- Mustache, 80's porn star Gordon Hayward is coming back and if he's anything close to what he was doing in the bubble, ain't nobody on their team stopping him. We got 4 guys who can average 20.
- We will be able to abuse Dragic, Herro, Robinson, I also like how Theis and Bobby match up against Olynyk. They are both better rebounders and athletes than him and both are tougher than him.
- We were the best team at defending the 3 throughout the NBA season, which also doesn't bodd well for Miami.

Heat fans think Herro and Robinson are their difference makers yet ignore they will be defending by the best wing defenders in the playoffs. Herro like to cut and shoot and cannot do anything else. He will be neutralized more than fvv was

Maybe, I could see Theis getting in a lot of foul trouble trying to control Bam just because Bam is so athletic, can even put the ball on the floor and drive against opposing big man and Theis never gets the benefit of the doubt on contact. We'll see.

Would be shocked if that happened. I think hayward comes off the bench, and he should.

The lesson of Hayward being inserted into the starting lineup too soon after injury should not be neglected.

More specifically, I'd like to see him start out with offensively challenged reserve-heavy lineups where it is GOOD strategy for him to try to force things and discover what he can or can't immediately do.

Game 1. 2021.

Have heard pretty reliably that he's coming back and if the TOR series was the Finals (or he wasn't so neurotic) he could have given it a shot.

The next player to come back when the team says will be the first. Grade three sprains are like 8+ week ordeals and Hayward isn't that great when he's less than 100 pct. I would love to be wrong.

You think other teams' fans disrespect Theis? You should read this forum. You'd expect people to love the guy given the centers employed by this franchise the last 35 years. Perk, Horford, Theis, and...Tony Battie?

I think you and anyone else who thinks that should go down to that we should have Hayward come off the bench thread and just see how dramatically better our team is with Hayward playing with the starters vs having Smart playing with them.

It's the playoffs can't handicap yourself.

That said I doubt we have Hayward at all in this series so the point is moot.

... all 3 of those Centers were as good if not better than Theis in their time here.

Tony Battie was Theis + 3 inches of height. He banged with bigs that were strong all the time and would have been able to stand in front of Embiid.

I love Theis but you want to go back to like Vitaly Potapenko or Andrew DeClearque or Raef LaFrentz if you want to find Centers worse than this that we should be grateful for having Theis over.

If there's anyone who knows how to defend a team that plays this brand of offense, it would be Stevens. We had much success defending the Warriors in the past and this team is levels below them in terms of talent. The IT-era Celtics also kinda played this way -- high player movement, high ball movement, great shot selection, etc. (Probably why Jae and KO are comfortable in this system.) We only moved off it when Kyrie and Mook arrived.

Up to the players now to execute the defensive game plan, but we're prepared for what's coming. Not too concerned about our offense.

It only took like five minutes for my point to be proven.

I’m guessing the guy below him is Shavlik Randolph.

I’d forgotten about Wilcox’s cup of tea with us!

That's Shav?! I barely recognize him without all the women around him.

Spo probably going to implement what Nurse did. Neutralise Kemba which really hurted our offensive production.

I think that Brad has to play less zone, his zone schemes hurt us during crunchtime. Thank god for having some clutch defenders who single handedly saved us against the Raps. Theis is a good defender but he looks lost when we play the zone. If your defenders are that clutch why not play man on man defense more? I'd say neutralise Buttler like they will do with Kemba. We should have the upperhand then with Brown and Tatum.

A healthy hayward yeah. A hayward coming off an injury at maybe 60-70%? If he never got hurt obviously you put him in the starting lineup over smart. It's not that black and white though. We saw what happened the last time they tried to force hayward back into the starting lineup after an injury. The celtics are playing very well right now. Putting a less than 100% hayward in the starting lineup over smart I don't think is the right move.... But hey, maybe I'm wrong. Just giving my opinion. I think it depends on how healthy hayward is and how rusty he is.

I was kinda leaning toward the opposite. Smarty seems to be better on offense when he starts and is the more impactful defender. Hayward can be the stabilizer off the bench. Both play big minutes of course.

Rob and Grant have been playing Bam since college. They won't be intimidated. The is is just a foul machine
