Lmao, if I don't get it to you by Friday at 4PM will my final mark be withheld?
Ainge, Riley, Nelson, Myers, Buford, Marks, take your pick of Nuggets executives, Morey, Horst, Presti and Olshey. The first 5 are absolutely better than him and it's not an argument. I'd probably have Masai 9th or 10th.
List all their accomplishments and compare side by side to Masai since 2014.
What has Ainge, Riley, Nelson, and Marks accomplished over Masai in the past 7 years? Please tell me.
Is it wins? No.
Is it playoff runs? No.
Is it championships? No.
Is it player development? No.
The Heat and Celtics are in the ECF because of their player development acumen. If you think they don't have a brighter future than the Raptors you're delusional.
I like for someone touting the success over a long period of time as one of Masai's best qualities you completely ignore that a bunch of these guys have been excellent FAR longer than Masai has allegedly been.
I'm not going to spend 2 hours of my day copying and pasting wikipedia articles for you when I know you're a Masai bootlicker and wouldn't change your mind if the man himself told you he wasn't a top 10 GM.
The Heat and Celtics are in the ECF because they are very good teams and had some luck.
And no, I don't think the Heat have a brighter future. Butler is 31 and on a long 5 year contract which takes away some flexibility. He has had some injury issues in the past. Similar to Lowry, I'm not sure how many years he has left playing at an elite level.
The Celtics have a very good young core, but Kemba looks like he was overpaid and they will have to decide if they are willing to give Brown max money or let him walk.
We were literally minutes away from knocking out the Celtics. The Celtics also benefited from Simmons getting hurt right before the playoffs and having an easy match-up with Philly (who they struggled against when Simmons was healthy).
Heat benefited from the Bucks having major issues coming into the bubble and not looking at all like the same team they had during the season.
Do you really believe that the Heat and Celtics are leaps and bounds ahead of us? We just saw that us and the Celtics were practically even and either team had a chance. Tatum is an excellent piece, but let's see if Ainge can keep that core together.
Even when we had Kawhi we were **** close from getting knocked out by the Bucks and Sixers. The margin of error for winning in the playoffs can be very small. Just look at the close series between the Clippers, Rockets, OKC, and Golden State between 2015-2019.
Again, you need some luck to win a championship. You need to be a very good team that is healthy, playing well at the right time, and wins those couple close games that are decider games in the playoffs.
For example: Last year we scraped by with a game 7 win over Philly, and if not for a double overtime win in game 3 against the Bucks, that series is also over.
Do you actually watch Raptor games? Or do you just come to post every time they lose? JW.
