Would you do this trade? We'd have a ton of cap space to sign people around Harden and Mitch.

Hell no!!! Harden is NOT a player you build around. Just look at his career in Houston. All they have done since the moment they got him is build around him to the tune of having almost no draft capital since they traded all of them away to bring players in the help Harden. It's a really hard pass for me. There are few people in the league that you trade the farm for but its not him.

We'd be building a statue outside of the Garden, if someone had an 8 year run here as good as Harden has just had in Houston. Two conference finals runs and 3 other years of advancing out of the first round is nothing to look down on. His teams just happened to run into one of the greatest teams ever assembled in the Golden State Warriors.

Does George Gervin have a statue?

*ducks and runs*

If George Gervin had a statue, they should model it on this:

I might be delusional but I'm starting to think this is going to be a great year for DSJ. Last year's death in his family did a number on him. With Thibs and staff I think they can really bring out the best out of him

Man, you lucky you deleted that post. I feel bad for Harden honestly. He had a bunch of amazing years, and you ran into the best team ever built; after that, you run into the best player in the league and the best big in the league.

The fact is Harden's teams were always just not good enough.

He looks slimmer and back with the fade, so that’s a start. Hope he can atleast get back to his rookie year form. I still believe Fiz ruined him.

James Harden is a superstar. However I wouldn’t trade for him at this point. He’s going to be 32 by end of next year. By the time we would be able to build a contending team around him, he’ll be 34-35ish. Pass

I’m with you.. if Fultz can come back after everything he’s been thru then so can DSJ.

Waste of a roster space, money, and playing time for Frank, DSJr and Trier.
At best contributes nothing except POSSIBLY a meaningless win or two that decrease already tricky lottery odds.

Just a sh*te move, another in a long line of sh*te moves executed by Mills & Perry

You could say that about almost any player on the roster that we did not draft in the last 3 years. They have been better than all our picks- disappointingly. Our busts are a far bigger problem than Payton

And?

You just play the guys drafted and live with the results. The Knicks had TWO pg's under contract. A need to tank.
Payton was just another ill advised signing to go along with Portis and Ellington and Bullock. At least with Gibson, they needed a backup C, but there were other ways to go there. At least Morris had value - pretty obvious they'd be able to flip him for a pick, but even he fell into their lap instead of being planned for.

Kawhi says he wants high IQ players. Randle for Paul George. Who says no?

Just saying, you never see Randle playing lazy defense, bricking threes or choking in the middle of a playoff game.
