James Conner is prepared to be the bell-cow back for the Pittsburgh Steelers this season, but the plan hit a roadblock on Monday night.
Conner left early in the second quarter with an ankle injury. He was listed a questionable to return, but never returned to the field.
Benny Snell took over for Conner and carried the ball 19 times for 113 yards.
