If Nurse had Tatum the series would have ended in 4 or 5. Nurse better than Stevens.

It's an excellent breakdown, but unfortunately most people on this board give every shred of credit for any success this team has to Masai. The difficulties Nurse has had to deal with are ignored.

Ultimately that's what it came down too.

I would love to see what a Nurse-coached team with two 3rd overall picks (Tatum/Brown) would look like.

If Pascal shot better than 12.5% from 3, we also win the series. We didn't even need Tatum. We just needed Pascal to not be historically bad, but that was asking too much, evidently.

Series still stings for me. The comforting thing is knowing we have a tactician worth of going up against the best in the league despite the talent disparity. I'd love to see Nick with a superstar we can develop

I think it has more to do with our team not shooting well. Both our starting C and PF didn't shoot very well from 3, which I feel was the biggest difference. Ibaka helped in giving our guards space to operate.

This is my assessment as well. Gasol shot 2/16 from three. Siakam shot 4/32 from three. It's a miracle we got it to game 7 with that kind of shooting from 2 of our starters.

I think that lack of 3pt shooting from Gasol in particular contributed to the poor 1st quarters of almost every game.

Nurse should’ve called timeout in the last 30 seconds. FVV just dribbled the series away. Ibaka should’ve played over Siakim in the fourth quarter of game 7
