do that many people really watch regular season football? Why? :D
If a regular season game can get 8-9 times more viewers than an NBA playoff game that means NFL really sucks at paying its players.
You get that much more viewership and yet your overall salaries are only 40% higher than NBA.

Certianly NFL players have not negotiated a good deal however they play far less games and I imagine international viewership of the NBA far outstrips the NFL..

Well, there are 50+ players on an NFL team that have to split that pie, compared to 14-15 players on an nba team.

This is a crap comparison, for real. The NFL, and MLB, are foundational american past times. They've been around longer, as established mainstream sports institutions.

The comparison would be more accurate if total worldwide viewership was a part of the equation. Or, if the NFL was completely taken out of the equation altogether, and the the current NBA viewership was being compared to numbers in past years.

This article doesn't really say anything, or make any sense, imo.

Baseball and hockey are down, but it's only the NBA that gets these articles.
