Kyrie has got to be the most overrated player Part 2

viewtopic.php?p=79281915#p79281915

A continuation from the first thread.

He leaves Boston and Boston will get to the finals  . They lost to the Bucks last year. You can say that the Bucks got worst without Brogdan but theyd lose to the Bucks this year with Kyrie as well.

This is pretty disrespectful to a player who has the very rare distinction of hitting a dagger in a Finals game 7.

I can't imagine someone watching that Celtics/Heat game and thinking that Kyrie would be worse than Kemba

I take Westbrook by a hair, and only because he is less likely to say something incoherent or stupid in the media that alienates (or at a minimum confuses) his teammates.

I wouldn't want either at max money though, awful investments.

Made one big shot but has been pretty poor impact wise his entire career. Very skilled and has a beautiful game but he doesn't help the team win as you might expect.

Imagine watching such a good playoff game and your first instinct is "I've got to trash an unrelated player on realGM".

The timing of this thread is funny because Kemba is averaging 12.6/5/7 on 26.7% shooting from the field on 36 TS% on the Celtics as the 2nd or 3rd option over te last 3 games. When I watch him play it's very clear he's getting locked up and his low standing reach of 7'6"—lower than Isaiah Thomas'—he is unable to get adequate separation from these defenders. It's not just case of him missing shots he usually would make, he is too small. I don't think Kyrie ever had a stretch of games with as poor shooting at any point of his career. Not even last year when he was the 1st option and nobody else was really on an all-star level. With Kyrie in place of Kemba they'd no doubt beat the heat in like 6 games. There's no chance he'd be this easy to guard. His standing reach of 8'3" gives him the equivalent height difference of someone being 6'4" and Kemba being 5'8."

Love Kemba, but even I didn't think this would be that much of a dropoff. He just looks limited and it's not him choking. It's a lack of ability . Not as good a shooter, not as creative, not as tall not as strong.

Nets taking the east next year (assuming KD is still a top 10 player)

He hasn't been the same since he hurt his back carrying the entire team in 2016.

Nope IMO.

Boston has gotten better because Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum improved. Also Gordon Hayward has been playing better this season.

This is a completely wrong reason to take Westbrook... Dude is delusional and has gotten worse with age.

Yep. Kemba is just small time. Doesn't get it done down the stretch. We saw Team USA ball hog Kemba tonight and it wasn't the least bit surprising...

Celtics fans hate Kyrie, so they’ll continue to pretend all the teams problems were solved solely by him leaving and they’re better off with Kemba.

Which of course is ridiculous.

Love watching kyrie he is a tremendous indivual talent but hard to win a championship with him as your best player. Hes a Robin that can play like batman in moments but not consistent enough to be at the next tier injury prone and comes with some baggage.

ight, but I think if you put him on the heat they prob. win the chip, but him on the 76ers or Bucks they're close to being contenders. The question of "can this person be the No. 1" doesn't matter as much when you usually need two top 10-15 guys minimum.
