Lakers are going to be a lot tougher for the Nuggets for the simple fact that Davis is not Zubac or Harrell. Clippers had nobody and I mean nobody to match up with Jokic, Lakers on the other hand do so it's going to be interesting to see how it goes but I expect it to be a lot tougher.

they only lost 1 game a round so far. the 1st one. then they dominated the next 4. no game was close at the end.

How? They dont have picks for the longest time and the lakers are still the free agents destination of choice in la.

It all comes down to ownership and a competent front office for people to make a judgment on the destiny of a team.

The Clippers lost CP3, Blake Griffin and DAJ and still managed to win close to 50 games in the 2018-19 season and lure Kawhi Leonard in free agency.

The Knicks lost two of their best players of recent history in Melo and KP but have yet to establish a winning culture and have been spurned by every superstar free agent since.

Even if Kawhi and George have intentions of opting out of their contracts in 2 years, the Clippers can trade them and receive a hefty amount of assets back.

Aside from maybe RJ, the Knicks do not have any pieces that will make them into a winning team 5 or 6 years from now. No one knows if RJ would even want to continue being a Knick if he somehow develops into an elite player. I would be more optimistic if the Knicks had the tendency to win lotteries, draft better talent and attract top free agents.

Even with the Rose hiring, you get the feeling that Dolan will force his way into some kneejerk moves knowing that the Nets could be the center of attention if KD comes back strong and BK is contending. We saw him do this even when the Knicks had a very good team executive in Donnie Walsh.

Walsh was an average team exec at best and has been hands off since then. The clippers have nothing to build on, they're going to have to re-sign everybody this year, and their draft pick situation is downright horrid. WIth all that and an inability to draft high draft pick for a while, there's no way for them to do anything of note if Kawhi and george screws them.

I thought Denver was done too, but happy to be wrong. Was fun watching the Clippers choke and exposed. They were all trying to coast and ride Kawhi all the way to the chip.

Denver has a good team. People forget they were 1 game away from the WCF last year and lost in game 7 to the Blazers in a tight game.

Lets not pretend like the Clippers just lost to the Kings or something. Denver has been one of the best teams in the West for a couple years now and they are getting better.

Clippers were just a lot of hype from fans and media but they absolutely were beatable and had major weaknesses on the roster and poor coaching

chemistry!

This is precisely why I was never on the free agency bandwagon.

F KD, Kyrie, Giannis etc. You can neither buy nor beat the feeling of a homegrown team that bands together.

Nuggets will probably lose to a team built through trades and free agency in the Lakers

But we don’t have a Jokic or Murray level player..nothing close to them

The scary part is that COVID seems to have some lingering effect on people's hearts as well, even if you were asymptomatic. Props to Jokic. Clippers didn't take the Nuggets seriously at all and were playing like they won the championship already.

It is scary how some people have some lingering effects and they are still trying to figure all of that out. A lot they dont even know. At least good to see some people come back and play at a high level like Jokic, MPJ, Mitchell, etc.
