Other thread maxed out.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Pretty excited to let us know it's the offseason.

This is also how I imagine our front office and owners come up with ideas.

I was early by almost a week in predicting when we would hit 100. Disappointed in y'all. Khris was too good this year. Not enough controversy.

Would anyone trade Brook/Ersan for Horford + pick if Philly moves on from Embiid? I probably would. Horford + Embiid was a disaster, but anyone could have seen that coming. Bucks would be able to move him back to center full-time. He looked a little less slow/old in the bubble, so maybe it was a question of nagging injuries during the year. He's still clearly quicker than Brook IMO, much like Marc Gasol was last year, and that makes a big difference. None of them can run the floor, but Horford and Gasol at least move their feet faster than Brook. Non-guaranteed 4th year too.

The new guys aren’t actually “new” and the “old” guys aren’t as old as you’re making them out to be!

Smashed together a Schroder deal with a version of RiotPunch’s Bledsoe to Minny idea. https://tradenba.com/trades/SxE1VKyHp

Bucks: Schroder, Josh Richardson, Mike Scott, Jaylen Nowell, #53

OKC: #24, Robin, Ersan, Wilson

Minnesota: Bledsoe

Philly: #17, James Johnson (expiring)

FA Targets: JyMychael Green, Dario Saric, Aron Baynes (in that order)

Rotation:
Schroder/Hill
Richardson/Donte
Middleton/Wes
Giannis/Green/Mike Scott
Lopez/Green

After the feedback of the Lasry meeting I find it less likely to go after a big star, unless a disgruntled one becomes available.

If no star trades happen I like these:

E'Twaun Moore could be a nice UFA to target. He has some offensive skills (shooting, floaters etc) and good wingspan.

Trading Bledsoe+ for Patty Mills should be good enough for playmaking.

Mills/Hill/DDV
Moore/Wes/DDV
Midds/minimum wage 3/4 combo ring chaser
Giannis/Dj Wilson/minimum wage 4/5 ring chaser
Brolo/Rolo/minimum wage 4/5 ring chaser

I this doable with all the cap/trade rules?
I feel this team can be good in a playoff situation.

Nobody else responded so I'll bite.

Man, this would make me really uneasy. I think I would probably say no. The contract is just too long for someone that is clearly in decline to me. You say the 4th year is non-guaranteed, but you're still on the hook for most of it anyways and if the Bucks realize their potential with Horford, the entire thing is guaranteed ($14.5 mil guaranteed regardless, $19.5 mil guaranteed if we reach the finals at any point, and fully guaranteed if we win the title at any point).

Might depend on the pick I guess but I'm not really interested in Horford.

Only taking on Horford's contract if the Sixers are giving me Josh Richardson and another asset(s). And even then, taking on that much salary pretty much precludes you from diverting resources to upgrade the PG position.

Go all in for Beal or Jrue Holiday, maybe Mike Conley

Seeing JJ Redick name there, he'd be a guy who would help the Bucks immensely

Great post spot on if no paul give me holiday and JJ ....got your upgrade PG and korver 2.0

Been on the E'Twaun Moore bandwagon for a couple years at least now. I think that's a secondary move using the MLE (or part of it) after upgrading - hopefully - via trade. But if you're able to take care of the guard/wing situation through trade, then divert that money to a versatile PF/C.

Been seeing Jerami Grant's name thrown out a bit, I don't think it's possible unfortunately. He talked about declining his $9.3m player option because he thinks he's outplayed that. Maybe the market humbles him this offseason but sounds like the dude is looking for an 8-figure salary.

So pissed when he signed for less than half of what they gave Snell. Un-frickin'-believable. That was Horst, right? He really bombed very early on with DJ and Snell but has hardly had a move that didn't exceed the average value of the assets/money conceded since.

I'm proud of the Bucks for their posturing on Chris Paul. Shoot down the idea of a deal to keep his market low. Swoop in and get him cheap.

I'll predict now that we get more draft pick compensation for Bledsoe than OKC gets for Paul.

I haven’t really considered the possibility that Wes Matthews could bolt for an offer elsewhere. That would really suck, especially if he joined a contending rival.
