Man, this would make me really uneasy. I think I would probably say no. The contract is just too long for someone that is clearly in decline to me. You say the 4th year is non-guaranteed, but you're still on the hook for most of it anyways and if the Bucks realize their potential with Horford, the entire thing is guaranteed ($14.5 mil guaranteed regardless, $19.5 mil guaranteed if we reach the finals at any point, and fully guaranteed if we win the title at any point).

Might depend on the pick I guess but I'm not really interested in Horford.

Never mind, I completely botched his contract. I thought 4/$97 was the maximum amount and that could be further reduced by not guaranteeing the last year, but 4/$97 is the already-reduced amount, so basically it would be 3/$97m. Hard to see that working for assets and salary except as a part of a multi-team blockbuster but I do think he would be an upgrade over Brook. Just better intangibles and mobility and versatility.
Wut we've got here is... faaailure... to communakate.

Bucks: Schroder, Josh Richardson, Mike Scott, Jaylen Nowell, #53

OKC: #24, Robin, Ersan, Wilson

Minnesota: Bledsoe

Philly: #17, James Johnson (expiring)

FA Targets: JyMychael Green, Dario Saric, Aron Baynes (in that order)

Rotation:
Schroder/Hill
Richardson/Donte
Middleton/Wes
Giannis/Green/Mike Scott

Schroder requested a trade from Hawks when Bud was still the coach there.

Can’t find anything to support that. He actually specifically mentioned favoring a trade to Milwaukee AFTER the Bucks hired Budenholzer though. He didn’t want to be part of the Hawks rebuild.

Schroder is also represented by Octagon/Saratsis.

I am happy you guys like my E'Twaun Moore suggestion.
I really hope for PG we can trade for someone better than my Patty Mills suggestion, but whoever it is, we really need that kind of shotmaking.
Both of these guys can attack closeouts and can get scortching hot in a game.

Welp, reports that the Bucks would rather look elsewhere than Paul. Do not like. Comments make me think more lower risk bandaid solutions to come.

Well I think they have to explore other options too. You have to call on Beal and try, he's the best case scenario. If you make it clear you're all in on Paul okc has all the leverage. It's good management to explore all options. Now, I didn't see the report you speak off but if it said they prefer low cost Mathews type options. Then yea, do not like it.

I'd rather the "leaks" say we aren't interested in CP3 than that he's our #1 target. The last thing you want to do is play your cards way too early.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

We dont have assets to go after beal or a star with no terrible contract. We can go only "our trash for yours". I mean huge contracts after middle 30ies like horford or paul and we can target a good role player as free agent if we go into tax.
Exept maybe for George if they want him out he is cheaper than ever i think.

Sure, but it’s better to say nothing. No upside in the Lasrys continuing to put stuff out there one way or another. Let the other 29 teams think we’re hot for Chris Paul.

Pains me to admit that Lavine is the absolute perfect fit for this offense.

There are "leaks" saying we will strongly pursue Paul and other "leaks" saying we're not interested. Nobody knows what the front office is going to do.

I still like the idea of Jrue/Reddick coming back to us. 2 great fits.

Do you guys enjoy treadmills? If so, how about:

PG, Zubac and Lou for Khris Middleton and Eric Bledsoe.

I think his downside, imo, is more mental maturity. Assuming if Horst could pull a deal off for Lavine, would he be committed to play winning hoops on defense and offense, and not be a ball-stopper? He has talent, to be sure.

If we don't go after Paul it'll be fairly easy to stay below the tax apron, so we should have access to both the non tax payer MLE and BAE

Split MLE between Derrick Jones Jr and DJ Augustin.

BAE for Cheick Diallo.

Minimums for Mason and Giles

Then there's a lot of trade ideas out there for Bledsoe, Brook, and others

I wouldn't say no. So we would be a better version of this year's Clippers? Gimme.

ETA: I absolutely do it from a salary perspective, especially if Giannis isn't locked in this summer.
