I don’t see clippers saying no
I honestly have no idea what cp3’s value is, but Tobi is a perfect tank commander for the okc rebuild...

CP Shake PG Ben Al
Terry Burks Matisse ? ?

Quite honestly that team has championship aspirations and a more flexible future.

Pretty sure the Clippers would rather Ben for George.
Clips are not adding any young talent for years (no picks) and getting a young stud for 5 yrs is appealing.

George has 2 more years left on his contract- about the same as Embiids prime window - oh and he not afraid to shoot.

Ben and a 2nd for PG

But even in that case I would also target a defensive guard who can lock down opposing PGs a little bit.

Send JRich, Harris, Korkmaz and Zhaire plus picks out...

Send CJ, Hood (re-signed) and a defensive PG back...then sign a solid backup PG.

Embiid/Horford
Simmons/Scott
Hood/Thybulle
CJ/Shake

No thanks from POR.

If Thybulle is off the table well try to work out sometgung with MIL.

Could live with Harris, Thybulle, 21, and 36 for CJ, Trent, and 16?

Hmm

CJ | Trent | Richardson | Simmons | Embiid

I could see that working at a fairly high level. Still got Horford to try to flip elsewhere.

Horford, Korky, #16, Micic for PG13. They owe us one.

You honestly want PG the playoff choker who is not a winner?

You honestly wouldn't take Paul George for that?

Yeah I’m not very interested in Paul George after seeing him inconsistently perform year after year when it matters most.

If I’m moving embiid I’d go a different direction and not go to full rebuild, but take a step back/slow it down to move forward and build the right way. I’d rather go after a younger player like Brandon Ingram and something.

PG is also 30, and is not the difference maker for this team making a championship run, and is shortening our window.

Thats great and all, but he's younger, significantly better and a significantly better fit than Al Horford. He comes up small for a proclaimed superstar, but let's not let recency bias cloud your judgement.

Yeah no. I wouldn't take PG for that. I don't like the fit. I don't like PG the player. And I don't think he would want to be here. My opinion on PG hasn't changed in a while. He's toast. I'd rather have Horford as a backup C to Embiid and keep the #16 pick.

PG is owed $35M and then $37M.

Sure, its one year less than Horford, but I'd rather stay away from him.

Sorry this old message board style of posts read so confusing at times. I was under the impression the talk was embiid for PG, I would be a firm no.

If it’s horford and garbage for him that’s just not happening. You’re not adding Paul George to embiid and Simmons, we don’t have the assets.

Lol Horford and some garbage for PG13 would be fine by me, but I agree...That's not happening. I will say this about him. He's definitely not what he used to be so I don't know how far fetched the idea of Horford and some garbage for George actually is. LA is going to lose both Marcus Morris and Harrell to free agency.

If Kawhi has soured on him, there's a chance PG13 is a buy low candidate this summer.

Even if that’s true there’s just going to be much better players available for Paul George. Like the cj mccollum deal everyone was talking about on here yesterday.

I just can’t see a deal for the sixers scraps being the best option to put Kawhi and the clips over the top.

So to clear this up, i'd much rather have the CJ deal happen over Paul George. George has regressed to role player level status at this point. He's just done being a superstar. It happens...10-11 years into the league. We've seen it in the past with super athletic players. Vince Carter was actually a superstar at one point, but it's been so long that people basically know him now as a bench player. Remember Glenn Rice in the 90s? Guy was a stud in Miami and then in Charlotte. Was traded to the Lakers and later on the Knicks and was able to fetch some value based off of his name, but he was done by the time he was 30.
Some sucker will pay for George if they want him and dealing with the Clippers is never a good idea. They have a razor sharp GM that can easily flip a mistake into a gain. I'd stay away from George too, but if it's an offer that we can't pass up...Like Al Horford and fringe players, then i'd take the chance. George can come here and shoot open threes. He'd be right at home with what he likes to do these days. I'd much rather have CJ though. Our offense will be awesome with him in the mix if we can somehow get him.
