With the way PG played, and the rumblings of the friction with Harrell in game 2. It actually wouldn't surprise me if we weren't able to squeeze Shamet out of this as well. Either way, I wouldn't be made at a deal like this.

Bledsoe and Middleton don't really give them anything they don't have with PG and Beverly. BroLo for Lou + another asset could interest them.

If true, can we top this offer?

How about Brook for Zubac and Shamet?

Clippers seems desperate to win now and change things up. Bucks get 2 younger, controllable rotation players.

If Philly really wants to move off Embiid, why not Bledsoe, Lopez, #24 for Embiid. Lopez is a better fit for Simmons, they get a first back and Bledsoe/Simmons/Thybulle will be hard to beat on the perimeter defensively.

I know there are obvious fit issues but Embiid and Giannis would be a dominant frontcourt defensively and I think that's two top 10 players in the league. Embiid actually has quite a reasonable contract and is a long term asset that matches Gianni's timeline. They are both African, seem to have enjoyed playing with each other in the ASG, and I think have complimentary personalities. Giannis will make Embiid work harder and be in better shape while Embiid can take all the limelight that Giannis doesn't want.

We can still use the MLE on a PG but the backcourt would still be a big question mark.

Also running it back on the 2014 draft when Embiid was available at #2.

Mil: DDV/Wes/Middleton/Giannis/Embiid

Please tell me what I'm missing on this!

I like the FSU guys if we're dealing with the Clips. Mann and Kabengele.

I might rather have that Nets offer than Jrue tbh, flip Allen/Musa/1st for a goood 2 guard. Bledsoe crapping his pants yet again killed us here.

Shamet is the guy I want man. We'd be getting our starting SG to run next to Giannis during their primes.

Dont think we need to do a complete upheaval but sending out Bled for him and Bev is where I started in the last thread. Fill in whatever peripheral pieces you'd like.

This feels like a big overpay for Jrue.

I would take his reports with a truckload of salt. He's as reliable as Incarcerated Bob IMO.

But to answer your question, I don't think so and I wouldn't want to.

Like I said before, let some other East rival overpay the farm for Jrue Holiday. Would be ecstatic if the Nets put all their misguided faith in a Kyrie/KD/Holiday/DeAndre Jordan core.

I have Zero interest in CP3. He's injury prone, notoriously hard to get along with, & about to fall off a cliff. If even one of those 3 things goes the wrong way then this blows up in our face and I think all three are fairly likely

My top three favorite targets for the offseason would be Lavine, Oladipo, & Buddy Hield

Whoever it is that we get, I just hope its not some mediocre guy like Patty Mills or Rubio that barely moves the need and is arguably a worse player than Bledsoe.

And I hope there are some big structural changes to the way our offense works. Acquiring Chris Paul not only gives us a better PG that fits our team better, but he is also literally the perfect player to help fix our offensive system. It just makes too much sense.
still learning the game

What we need is a legit lead G + guys of the nature you mention. Mills as an off the bench shooter would be great to have, as your starting PG, not so much.

Jarrett Allen looked really good in Orlando without having to worry about the weird DeAndre Jordan situation hanging over his head. Hope he gets freed from that.
