I've been saying it for months, although it looks like nobody else worreid about it until now. There is no cap room on this team for Norm after 2021 regardless of 3%. They will be trading Powell if they trade anyone. So imo, that is not a big reason and 2-3 million doesn't change that. The only thing that changes that is FVV getting too big an offer elsewhere.

Literally, we ditch McCaw or Johnson and were are even.

It’s more about 2021 and those guys are off the team at that point. So it’s more likely now that we throw in our 1sts with Norm for an upgrade to drop the future salary of of the picks.

Those guys are signed for just as long as Powell. It's not anymore likely... he was always the prime guy we would trade because he has one year left before a big payday.

No, I get that and always knew that but once you ditch the McCaws and Stanleys you are still losing out on 3-3.5 million in wiggle room to play around the edges so this doesn't have zero roster implications. No one is just taking their salaries. Maybe we only carry 13 plus the 2 two-ways now for next season for example. Maybe the next Terrence Davis or Fred is missed out on.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Alright... but did you really think he wasn't going to be all NBA? This really isn't overly surprising to just come up now. I dunno, it's something I thought we already knew is all.

Maybe the playoffs just made people forget.

He was always going to make the team since this was voted pre bubble. Kyle deserved a spot too but he got shafted once again cause he doesnt put up crazy scoring numbers.

2nd team is a surprise to me, Tatum I thought would get it. Siakam had no bonus in his extension for 3rd team.

If it wasn't for how it ended his season was just remarkable, too bad that will get lost in the convo. Ah well, congrats Pascal!

I hope Pascal respectfully declines the 3% bonus out of humility due to his crappy play post Christmas and in the bubble.

What would the PA say, do you think? LOL

No. The current situation is you have to pay even more for a fraud, until Pascal can prove himself again next season.

The same fraud that averaged 20/8/4 on 50% shooting in the Finals and scored the game-winning basket on the road in Oracle defended by Draymond Green. That fraud? The very same?

Happy for Pascal but man is that contract looking rough now. Hopefully he can play his way into it.

That bit of extra cap space would have been nice to have but Masai still got out of that 5th year by extending him last summer.

I know people are really down on Siakam, but you still have to judge the season as a whole. With those numbers, he's still getting the 5 year Max with the All-NBA kicker and there is no negotiation at all. There's no young player that makes an All-NBA team heading into Free Agency that doesn't get the Max.

Has the full voting breakdown been released yet? I'd be curious to know how close Kyle was to 3rd Team.
