Pitching Rotation next year?

Post#1 » by Luv those Knicks » Tue Sep 4, 2007 4:19 pm

Yeah, I know it's early, and Glavin hasn't made his announcement yet. Not sure Glavin will come back.

But do you guys think we'll go with teh same rotation next year?

Pedro
Glavin
El Duque
Maine
Perez

or, if no glavin

Pedro
El Duque
Maine
Perez
Pelfrey

or will Omar look to acquire another starter in the off season?
Bill Clinton slept with an intern. A consenting adult and he got impeached and nearly disbarred as a result. Donald Trump went to parties showcasing underaged women brought in as basically prostitutes, and he says it's nothing.

Double standard?

I think there will be a new guy in the rotation next year.

Pelfrey will be there as well.

El Duque and/or Glavine may not make it to or through 2008.

Pedro
Maine
Perez
Pelfrey
Humber

El Duque will be our bullpen ACE. Glavine should retire or go to the braves.

I know you have to give some thing to get something,

but you're trading 3 guys who I think will be key players for us next year (Pelf, Millege & Smith) and 2 more with potential to be.

Seems a lot to give up.

That's not even enough to get Johan.

I would trade Gomez, Pelfrey, Humber+(anything but Milledge) for Johan

we need a somewhat young top of the line rotation guy

we cant keep the same rotaiton theres too much age..

guys like pedro glavine and el duque arent gonna pitch forever, if we have one or two in the rotation fine but if we have all 3 and expect thme to be healthy all year were dellusional..

Milledge or Gomez will have to be involved, plus Guerra, Nando, Pelfrey, Humber, and probably Mulvey and Smith too.

Anyway next year rotaton unless a major trade happens or Glavine comes back:

Pedro
El Duque(doubt Willie would put him in the pen)
Maine
Perez
Pelfrey or Humber(the loser probably starts out in the pen).

I think this is what the rotation is going to look like next year, and yeah im serious.

Maine
Perez
Willis
Pedro
El Duque / Humber

I really have a feeling that Minaya is going to make a move for Willis, mainly because he is coming off a so-so year. I doubt we will make the big splash that is required in getting Santana, and he will look at Willis as the second best prize.
Jazz: Under reconstruction, we'll be back.
