So I don't understand, are we hiring Monte to be the GM/POBO or his he going to be bringing in a GM?

He's GM according to his Twitter bio. From all reports it sounds like the title is GM but he has HOBO power.

McNair is an upgrade over Vlade. I hope this is the start of a positive change for the organization.

I don't like Dumars lingering around the background tho. He's Vlade-level bad too. Dude is living off his early 00 success. He needs to go far away from the important decision making process.

Dumars reports to Vivek, not McNair. How is that going to work in regards to basketball decisions? It sounds like more of the same. Hopefully it's just a miscommunication with the press...

Also, apparently the fact that Dumars was involved scared other candidates away. If McNair's the guy, then ok. But to give up on other candidates because you're keeping Dumars around seems like bad decision making.

I'm hopeful, but not optimistic.
