Re: Wannamaker
I thought he has played well all season and has stepped up in the playoffs. Way to much hate on this dude.

Right? I thought that he was a no- brainer offseason cut. Now, rethinking this position.

Re: Wannamaker
lots of good match ups on the floor for Wannamaker. He can easily attack Robinson and Hero just on sheer size alone.
HE was great last game.

Really? I mean he's been out best bench guard (Smart I consider a starter) for two years running. Never quite understood why people hated on him. He's a tough smart player. Kanter is the obvious trade. See if you can get some value for Tremont/Edwards. I'm convinced we'll draft a PG this year..

Yep. He's a solid guy.

That’s my current take too. Solid, not spectacular at anything, except free throws.

Yeah. He's #1 in the League, on Free Throws.
I too thought to trade Wanamaker in the offseason. Not so sure now.
I still would like to see Waters come up to the big club, as a PG.
Wanamaker though is a bigger guy, that can also play SG.
Looks like Edwards may be the Odd Man Out.

Re: Wannamaker
I wouldn't mind seeing them keep Wanamaker, draft a PG big enough to switch reasonably on defense, and trade Waters for (slight) value. (I think that for the purposes of trades, Waters is an un-signed 2nd round pick, with his two-way deal last season being pretty irrelevant.)

Re: Wannamaker
The Wanamaker bandwagon was oh so lonely for a good long while... happy to see it filling up.
Yes, he's fundamentally limited, in certain obvious ways. But in the right role, and for the right dollar amount, he's a fine NBA-caliber backup. 100% want him back here next year, as long as the price is right.
Draft another PG this year, who will be ready around the time the Wanamaker era is closing, in another year or two.

Re: Wannamaker
He is the only person at all that we have coming off the bench that is even semi reliable.
Going to enjoy it now because he's 31 and coming off his first years in the NBA. He about to rack up like 80% of the MLE from some team looking for a roation player and good for him. Gonna finally get one payday before he retires.
Can't believe how amazing he's been. He blew chunks so many times during his stints here and is just a **** stud all bubble and playoffs haha.

Re: Wannamaker
Evan Turner, Olynyk, Rozier, Morris... Wanamaker next but maybe not at their level. But he's gonna get paid more than we can afford.

Yeah, I agree, I think we'll certainly be looking for a PG who is a playmaker and with good shooting off the bench. We have plenty of wings and probably looking for a big is a good idea too for the rotation with theis and time lord.

Re: Wannamaker
Hopefully the real storyline here is that the Celtics establish themselves as the team vet Euroleaguers want to go to to take one last crack at making it in the NBA.
Yes Poirier was a bust, but anyone seeing what happened with Theis and Wanamaker has to be picking up the phone when Ainge calls.
Maybe we can pluck another solid contributer out of thin air soon.

I really thought Wannamaker was gonna be a bust, but Theis I always had him being a solid contributor to the team, he had a very solid career in Germany before coming to us and his game is really suited to the modern NBA.

Championship teams don't play guys like Wannamaker. Danny needs to send him packing as he's becoming one of Brad's binkies.

What other options does Brad have? Seriously, who should play over him right now?

Filling out your roster with guys like this is why we have no depth.
Danny managed his cap horridly and it can't be debated.

Maybe pay the luxury tax to resign Shane Larkin? That guy at least show that he could play when it counted.
