I watched the video posted earlier in this thread and saw Shved and Larkin blowing by him like he wasn't even there. I didn't just look at his height and say "herp derp he's a bad defender". He can't stay in front of **** Alexey Shved, how does anyone expect him to stay in front of NBA backups?

He's a good Euro player, I've never disputed that. Doesn't mean he's going to translate to the NBA. And if it costs 6mil a year? Yeah, no. Rather give that to McLaughlin. Maybe at 3yr/12mil I'd bite but even that's a tough ask that I'd, again, rather just give to JMac.

Do you realize that both Larkin and Shved are NBA level players?

Are they?

Ok, if I assume that's true then he still can't stay in front of NBA level players. So if the defence doesn't translate you're left with a good/great passer that's a streaky shooter and struggles finishing in Europe (i.e. he'll suck at it in the NBA). And at that point I wonder what IS the point?

McLaughlin was no slouch as a passer last season, with a 31 AST% and 13.7 TOV%. Not elite numbers but well above average (for reference Paul posted similar numbers, though those are way down from his career %s). So is losing the offence JMac brings worth the slight upgrade in passing? I don't think so.

I would like to sign him, better than draft Ball.

We need at least two experienced ballhandlers to stabilize team offense. This season it was far from optimal situation with Teague, Napier, Culver, Dlo, JMac playing PG position. I love JMac, but with risk of him leaving, I'd sign Campazzo to a team-friendly deal and enter into offseason with some insurance.

I would agree with this. It's important in a drive-and-kick offense to have multiple players on the floor who are able to create. It can't be all left up to Russell.

I also think that it is kind of hype around Campazzo. I am sure that Wolves do their homework, I am sure that they discussed the future with Campazzo or his agent. It only means that they consider every opportunity of improving this team. MIN also wanted to interview Hayes, Cassius Winston. It also does not mean that JMac is not considered as part of the future in MIN. Look at DAL rotation:

Barea 5'10"
Curry 6'2"
Trey Burke 6'0"
Brunson 6'1"

Doncic is still on rookie contract, so they had some extra money to spend. But as long as you dont overpay role players and can manage playing time, you should get as much talent as possible.

WHAT? I'd sign Lebron James to a team friendly two way deal too. Never mind what it would really take. Let's talk about nothing.

If drive and kick is important, then sign Jmac already.

JMAC signing is the move to continue improving the team correctly. Fail at this and it's a sign this front office is going to be a failure here too.

He's a winner no question about that. How will his game translate to the NBA?

Campazzo is borderline objectively better, the question is what his salary is going to be, and whether he is worth that amount. I would definitely keep Jordan McLaughlin as a third-string Point-Guard, if we sign Campazzo.

Merged thread with the previous Campazzo thread.

He has to be wide open and absolutely max out his vertical to dunk. I don't expect it to be a big part of his game. :D
