True.

Still hope he was trolling with his Blazers sweep prediction though.

This is a bull take, tbh.

LeBron has 4 MVPs, well deserved. In those years he pushed his team all year, got the best record and deserved it. His teams were among the most consistent in the regular season and he was the best player in the reg. season. Two of those years he went back to back but didn't make the finals. Still deserved it.

The other years of his career, we had to deal with inconsistency from both he and his teammates all year, locker room drama, underwhelming records, etc. He did not deserve it in these years compared to other players, especially those that played with less talent than he. In the majority of his post-cleveland (1st stint) career his teams were either the most or second most talented in the NBA and yet they underperformed often. That is not an MVP. If you want to say MVP should include playoffs, LeBron still wouldn't be MVP this year because he's arguably not been the best player on his own team, though he has been great to be sure.

Honestly, the fact that the Bucks were so easily crippled by the weakness of a single player shows just how singularly reliant they are on him. Building the wall against Giannis and the opposing team easily won because no one else could consistently step up, shows that Giannis was definitely the MVP (and that the Bucks are not a championship level team because they don't have more than one real option, and are easy to counter). Not to mention defensively as well. LeBron can have a bad game here and there playing with Davis because Davis is just about as good as he is and can carry the scoring and defensive load.

MVP has never been a best player in the league award. It just so happens that players who are considered among the best are most often in contention, but they are not the same thing and rightfully so.

“Singularly reliant”, yet the one game they won vs the Heat was the Giannis-less game. Lol.

Lol yeaaa I don't think it was them being "singularly reliant" as much as it was Giannis soaking up a ton of possessions and being spectacularly unproductive lol
LeBron's NBA Cup MVP is more valuable than either of KD's Finals MVPs. This is the word of the Lord

Of course the one time I'm not at the TV right at the advertised time is when they actually tip off on time, and I miss the start. Smh

JaVale stayed in a couple of minutes too long there. Should have been out with his second foul.

Why does it always seem like on a layup KCP is about to dunk but changes his mind at the last second every time

Crazy how wrong most in here were about playoff Rondo

the playoffs is perfect for him. No crowds gives him an even bigger boost as far as reading plays and vocally calling them out

Holy **** Rondo has already created 2 good looks in like a minute.

Pushing the pace to get Kuzma a reverse on the break and that layup by KCP.

I like what the Lakers are trying to do on D - trapping Murray and making him the decision maker. Their rotations and closeouts aren't as crisp yet (that Millsap 3, nobody tracking Jokic) but it's keeping the ball out of Jokic's hands mostly so far

Nuggets are getting small guys switched onto Jokic way too easily. Lakers gotta work on that.

I mean no one is as thrilled as we are that we were wrong lmao

GSP - how does it feel being a Celtics fan rooting for Bron? Does his all-time performances against your team tilt you?

Also: Jokic is KILLING them on these switches, and the Nuggets are cutting constantly. It's been great to watch

This defensive strategy against Jokic makes no sense.

Davis bust outs on the break are bad news for the Lakers like 70% of the time.

It would be great if he could just find a guard and fill the lane (or trail).
Don't believe the hype...

I mean, JOkic will either back down a smaller guy or pass over them to a cutter. You can't double when a smaller guy is on him as well, need to play him straight up!

Lakers started off well defensively but yeah. They need to kill Denver during these non-Jokic minutes, but still, they can't guard Jokic like that

Switching pick-and-rolls with Jokic and then scrambling to double him is a monumentally dumb strategy.
